We got a little carried away a couple of weeks ago with a surprise 10% off sale at Virgin Holidays and booked to go to Florida next October! :j Got a great deal, as in the price for all 3 of us to go was the same as 1 of us last time! ;) Not staying anywhere fancy but hopefully we'll have enough money to treat ourselves to a few nights in a Disney hotel. Will be a very different holiday with a toddler, but I'm sure it'll be great fun! :)

What dates are you going Birdie? We booked our honeymoon during the sale (was really surprised that the flights were available that far in advance!). We're going out on the 31st and staying till the 7th November when we fly up to Buffalo / Toronto. We're springing for a Disney Hotel (Port Orleans Riverside) as there were loads of extras plus the 10% off. I'm sure Zach will love it!

Not much to report round here. My life appears to have been taken over by weddings. I've now been invited to at least 9 weddings next year, not including my own! I suppose the big thing is I have my 6 month review next week where I'll hopefully find out if I'm going to have a job here after February.

Oh I was also incensed by the GBBO scandal; I'm sorry, Diana knew they were all having problems getting their ice cream to set, she would have been a bit more remorseful if it had have been a complete accident. But hey, it's another week!

    Hope you're all keeping well!

Looking forward to the Birdie chatter coming back! In a totally selfish, it's about time, kind of way. That's exciting about Florida! Loads of time to save up too :)

How many weddings, Ruby?! I have one in November and I feel like that's too much :o Best of luck with your review, will keep my fingers crossed! Exciting about your honeymoon too :D

Hoping this week's GBBO will be better and they leave Norman and his exotic pesto alone (not that he visibly seems to give two hoots about it)

Found a website that might be a good side money earner, if anyone's interested! There's a whole thread for it on the boost your income forum, it's a site where you're basically paid to blog. I have a slight feeling rambling aimless might be something we're all good at? ;) Basically you just need to build up a good network of people on there, as you get paid per view/like/comment. You can write 10 posts a day, and most people seem to post similar things to what we write here. Might be worth a butchers! My username is &appledough if anyone signs up :)

So sickened by her own actions, she left the show due to "illness". So that was nice.

I was close to tears when Norman left :( They tried so hard, but I get the feeling they're more of a cook than a baker :)

I was sad about this too, they were fun to watch. I think they're a fan of good but simple home-cooking rather than the fancy stuff Bake Off asks for.

Ooh that is rather strange! If you see a rather excitable girl in bride mickey ears pulling along a rather uninterested guy in groom mickey ears in the vicinity of the Be Our Guest Restaurant then that's probably us! (I love Beauty and the Beast, OH can't stand it)

I was also very sad Cinny about *blank* as well. I think they were more of a classic baker like most people; stick to what you like and as long as it tastes good then that's all that matters. None of this fancy (and dare I say over the top) stuff. Apparently Diana had an accident that injured her head and she was no longer able to smell anything. Don't know if it's permanent or not but she felt she couldn't come back.

Going to hear David McCandless speak this afternoon about data visualisation. I love his book 'Information is Beautiful' so it should be rather interesting. Plus it's free as my work helped to organise it so that's a bonus!

It was the right decision last night, but there's a big hole left in the group now! :(

Will keep an eye out for you Ruby! I'll be the one in OTT Mouse Ears, Zach will be a Pirate/Jedi/Buzz Lightyear etc and OH will be trying to look like he's not with me! ;) We had a look at the Be Our Guest restaurant when we were there last and it looks fab, shame it's a quick service place rather than a 'real' restaurant but it makes sense I guess although the first thing OH said was that if we got married over there he'd want the reception there! Sadly we didn't eat as we'd just had lunch when we managed to sneak into Fantasyland as they were doing a soft open and just letting a handful of people through. :)

    Morning all,

    Nice to see some chatter!

I was also shocked by last weeks antics on the GBBO ! I agree with the decision this week too but is a shame.

Sorry its not long till your return to work Birdie but will be nice to have you here more.Sounds like Zach is not far off crawling , Poppy did the backwards thing first too.

So exciting about Disney Ruby and Birdie, well jel! I can't wait to take Poppy but we have decided to wait till we have two so will be a while yet.

Be Our Guest is a table service restaurant in the evening now I think, with the grey stuff on the desert menu as well. OH is obsessed with looking at reviews of all the restaurants so we are prepared to make our advanced dining reservations in April! Will definitely keep an eye out for you guys; I'm sure Zach won't be hard to miss! Will stop with the Disney talk now, I've got a long time to wait yet!

All these Disney plans sound awesome, if not a little confusing to a muggle like me who's never been :o

Wandering on HUKD this morning and saw this pretty sweet kitchen going (for what I assume is) cheap, don't know if it's any good to anyone on here :) With the c-word coming up n'all!

eta: I have a swanky button now
