Hope all goes well with your Dad today, Ruby! Will be keeping my fingers crossed too, must be a worrying time for you all so sending lots of hugs xx

Disney honeymoon sounds lovely! I was telling OH a few days ago if we ever go to Florida I'm going to end up nagging Birdies ear off with questions ;) Although we've kind of picked our holiday and we're booking it when OH gets paid :o little deposits are too tempting!

Was forced to sit in an office with the blinds closed all of yesterday morning, so when I popped out at dinner time the sun was actually blinding. Shouldn't complain at all, because my towels are fantastically dry in about an hour, but ughhhhhhhhh.

Disney and new york honeymoon sounds fab, something to look forward to.

I am doing Ok apart from it seems everyone in the world is pregnant now. So far this week found out SIL and cousin are due in Jan and about 4 other people have announced! I seem to be coping better with it though and am very lucky we have Poppy. Our time will come again!

So sorry to hear about your Dad, Ruby :( I really hope all the news from here on in will be very positive. Huge fingers crossed for today. The honeymoon sounds great - exciting to make some plans!

Cinny, I think you and your OH should get married in Vegas, that would be amazing :D:D:D Ohhh how nice to have picked your next trip. Do tell...

Wendz I'm so glad to hear you're hanging in there. It's so upsetting when others around you are expecting. I'm hoping for you that trying again will be very straightforward, and that you'll have the most boring pg imaginable. ((((Hugest of hugs))))

Thanks everyone. He called me this morning to say that he's got the all clear! The extra tissue they removed showed no signs of malignancy and the primary lymph node did show signs of cancer but the others didn't. So no more treatment at the moment, just regular checkups with the consultant. It's been a strange 8 months but finally I feel like I can breathe.

I know what you mean Wendz, everyone I know is either pregnant or has just had a baby. I guess I've reached the age where everyone wants to settle down and it's not making me broody at all...

I can see you having a Vegas wedding too Cinny! Is that where you're heading back to on your next holiday?

Sorry to hear about your Dad Ruby but great news that he's clear now! I am more than happy to don my Mickey ears and give Orlando advice, great choice for a honeymoon! :) First bit of advice- wear the silly Bride and Groom hats and get the 'Happily Ever After' badges and you get everyone congratulating you and you may even get a free pudding in some restaurants! :)

Glad you're doing OK Wendz, I'm sure you'll have your forever baby soon. :)

We're off on our holiday on Monday (just 3 days at the North Yorks coast :o) and I really hope the weather's nice! Checked our bank balance and it's not looking good so we'll be doing it all on a shoestring as our savings are all gone now (doesn't help that I just had to pay out £200 today for MOT and service and need to buy 2 new tyres soon!)... looks like I'll have to think about going back to work sooner rather than later! :(

    I second this wholeheartedly! :)

So happy everything came back all clear for your Dad, Ruby!! Raced on here as soon as I could at work to see the news. Fingers crossed everything comes back clear from now on too.

It's Vegas we're looking at going back to! We're torn between either 10 nights at the same hotel we stayed at last time or 7 nights at a fancy tower room at Caesars Palace for the same price. No wedding though! OH keeps mentioning it out of no where and it's putting me on edge :o

Sorry to hear about the money situation, Birdie :( When do you think you'll need to go back? Isn't there anything you could do for a little extra income while you're at home? Always find that something happens to help when you're in a tight spot, so fingers crossed that happens :)

Is surprising how expensive it is being at home with baby. When do you think you will go back? Are you still going to take it in turn to look after Zach?

Enjoy your holiday. I'm sure it will be lovely to get away.

Hi everyone. Sorry we've not been updating, I know many of you are following Ben's journey on Facebook. For those who aren't we've been having a rough few days, a lot (as in 20-50 per hour) of dips in heart rate, sats down to 25% at times, he's gone back on oxygen and today he's getting a blood transfusion. However he has continued to gain weight, and is now only 210g below minimum home weight. If we can just stabilise him then we can get back to work on learning to feed.

Money news... honestly, I have no real clue what's going on. Which is bad, but more important things right now. I've put a few receipts into medicash, need to find Ben's birth certificate to claim the £750 for his birth. Forms filled in for child tax credit, just need the details of NIMs new work and we can send that off. Although the forms in no place ask if your income is significantly different this year compared to last, so not sure how they'll work out that we're now entitled. Bothered my former employer again this morning for a copy of payslips so I can get maternity allowance. I've been asking for these for over 2 months now.

NIMs car died a death 2 days ago, it has lasted us over 10 years though. So we're now needing to find another one very, very quickly. He has to have a car every day for work, and I need a car at the moment to get to the hospital (11 min car journey, nearly 2 hours by buses) and to take Grace to mum and dads (can't even calculate how long by bus).
