Yey nice to see this thread more like it used to be :)

I am feeling sleepy just reading about the sleepless nights and the babies waking up early! You are all superwomen in my eyes!

Lara the presentations and conferences sound awesome! Well done for getting involved presumably that is really good cv/career wise experience? Hope it goes okay and you don't get nervous etc! Not long till baby now! Have you got name ideas yet?

Dinah I'm sure you'll get a baby name that feels right soon! Or maybe when he comes you will just know? Had you decided Grace fro definite before she was born? Hopefully this little one will hang in there a bit longer and the Doctor will listen to you properly.

You've really done well in smashing the debt! What happened with the big cheque? Sounds a bit weird.. Hope it all got sorted out though. Do you have a plan for getting grid of the rest of it? Savings wise things are slow around here just plodding along and hoping there's money left at the end of the month rather than the other was around... Lloyds are changing their accounts though and I'm not sure I can be bothered to jump through more hoops and open new accounts so may just move to a lower interest rate for less faff... Is this lazy?

Thanks for the card birdie btw it was so cute! It sounds like you're doing awesomely with Zach it's amazing! What do you do with him at 5.30 when he gets up though? The clothes you linked to are so cute! Did you get a good maternity package from work by the way or will things get super tight?

Cinny that surprise is so cute! How is your sister doing? How's the hubby? What have you got planned for while she's home?

Grace was decided about 24 hours in advance. Not 100% but when I said it NIM just said 'stop, that's her name'. He checked with me when she came out that 'do you think she looks like who we said she was' (if Tete is reading the grammar in that will have her in tears) but all I could see was one tiny foot pressed against her plastic bag, and at that time my blood pressure was crashing and the world going a bit fuzzy so I just said 'yes thats her' and waited to pass out!

Depends how much you keep in there Tink. I'd take a small cut of £3 a month or something for a bank I like, but not £30.

Not enough plan to clear the rest of the debt I'm afraid. We have a plan to clear about £3k more of it, but the last £6k or so... erm?! I've slowed way, way down the last few weeks as I've been having to rest a lot more. Blood pressure is at such a level my eyes are going a bit screwy now and its hard to focus, really really hope after tomorrow things get a bit more under control again.

This morning I got a 4.30 wake-up!Yawwwwwn. Hate that time as it's after OH's baby shift so I have to do the get-up and it's too early to just stay up so we went back to bed and he cuddled up with me until 7. He's hardly relaxing to sleep with though, kicks and punches in his sleep! :p

Tink, my maternity package is the bare legal minimum so pretty darn lame! :( Luckily we have generous parents who treat us and Zach a lot. :) There's some talk of opening another family business in my name (instead of expanding my Dad/Brother's business- there are a lot of perks for tiny business owners that they'd lose and can't afford to) and we have a choice of OH working at it full time or just 'hiring' my Dad to run it and get a monthly stipend from it which will be good. :) Just got to wait for that to come around.

Hope the work stuff all goes well Lara. Make sure you're not tiring yourself out though! :)

Another meet-up would be lovely Kavics. :)

    Hi all,

Great to see more activity on here. Keeping my fingers crossed that your blood pressure stays stable Dinah. Agree with the others about the court case too. With regards the name - just go with something you both love; don't be worrying about whether it is too cool. Anyway - Grace is a pretty cool name!

Birdie - Zach sounds like a little character!

My niece has been sleeping from 10pm-8am since she was 4/5 weeks. She is 9 weeks tomorrow and is the most content, quiet baby I have ever seen. Her hair sticks up at the back too, she is so cuddly!

How many weeks are you now Lara? The countdown is on!

Cinny - love that your sister paid a surprise visit to your parents. I bet they were so happy!

    Hello everyone else :)

Growth scan this morning, 3 hours to go. I'm so nervous it's untrue. BP has been running high for weeks now but when I go to the hospital I have to wait 2-3 hours to be seen by which time it has dropped so they tell me its fine, but its not fine when I run about like a normal mum with a toddler rather than an invalid. Just desperately want the little man still to be okay and to be able to get past where I did last time but it's not going to happen unless they listen to me and sort this out!

Not horrendous. My bp was extremely high so they've added in an extra tablet, however it takes about 2 weeks to get into your system which seems like a long time to me given it was 150/114. Little man is active, lots of fluid, cord functioning well, although his growth has slowed down its still in the normal range. Another scan in 2 weeks, fingers crossed my bp comes down and he can grow a bit more by then.

Good-ish news! How many weeks are you now?

The photos of Grace in ICU on FB made me feel a bit teary yesterday when I looked through them. I really hope you don't have to go through that again x

24+2 now. My next goal is to pass when I had Grace (26 days and counting) and then to pass my 'small but should be okay' happy line of 30 weeks (40 days to go)..... 26 days seems so few and yet so many! I'm still having accupuncture twice a week, she used to tweek me each time, 3 or 4 needles a session. Today I had 19, and despite paying for an hours treatment she had me there for 1hr 55mins. Clearly I'm getting more and more broken. Even she said 'this isn't an elegant treatment as I'd like....but it seems to be helping'.

Grace makes me laugh so much now, She's at her nanas tonight and I spoke to her on the phone, she was eating her apple pie and custard and I asked how she was, I got a grin and a 'custard happy' - love that she has a custard level of happy! She also went to say goodnight to my brother, gave him a kiss, then went to my dad, looked at him and told him quite firmly 'I am gorgeous' before she'd kiss him! Does anyone else's little one read Keith the Magic Cat and Norman the Slug with a Silly Shell (if not, get them, they're a lot of fun for under 5s)? Grace is completely obsessed with Keith the Magic Cat at the moment, she was playing with NIM earlier and she managed to wind him by landing on his ribs, we have this thing with a 'magic kiss' basically kiss it better and it will all go away, it stops her crying over boo boos, so we said 'oh no, daddy needs a magic kiss'. She looked at him, considered the request, then toddled off and came back with a book, promptly thrust it at him and said with a grin 'magic Keith!' I clearly need to enunciate better!

Thank you for the thank you card Birdie! It is so cute! :) That sucks about the maternity pay not being good (although i think it is so rare that it is good nowadays isn't it? Seems to have been cut to the minimum at loads of places!)but yey about the parents and parents in law and the new potential business..! Keep us in the loop!! I would love to run a business but don't have any good ideas :(

Dinah hang in there with your little man! I'm sure you will get through the next 40 days! Its already one day down since when you posted yesterday i suppose.. so 39 days to go!! Thinking about you :)

Great chilled weekend here been on the go so much recently it feels good to finally lie in, watch tv and clean the flat!! (as sad as that sounds!)

I'm up for another meet too btw!
