Hey everyone, s quiet on here lately. Missing the chatter.
We've not had many money changes lately, had an issue where a very large cheque said it had cleared, we paid it off the debt, then the money was taken out the account again leaving us £3000 overdrawn! So we're just waiting for all that to get sorted. I did at least get my holiday pay from work though, so that has gone some way towards taking us back to £0.
Saw the solicitor, and he thinks I have a good case. However as it's a discrimination case not just unfair dismissal the fees are likely to be massive, around £10-£15,000. NIM and I gave it a lot of thought but we've decided not to pursue it. This is too much money to risk, but also right now my focus needs to be on happy and calm for the baby, not the stress of a court case.
We have another growth scan on Friday (24+1) see how little boy is doing. I am hopeful he's still growing well but not particularly optimistic. Blood pressure has been far too high for the last week or so, and rising for about 4 weeks. Taking NIM with me as Dr needs to stop faffing about and do something to control it, and NIM is much more forceful than me. Another 4 weeks to go until where Grace was born, current feeling is that its possible, but not if Dr doesn't cop on and do something to control the rise.
Been doing prep for the little man though, lots of lovely clothes bought (quite a challenge as I just don't like boy clothes as much), and I've been doing loads of batch cooking ready to have plenty of food ready for either when he arrives or while he's in nicu (can you tell my optimism has been seriously hit in the last week or two?).
Poorly today, dizzy, sick, ear ache, sore throat. Grace just doesn't get that reading stories isn't easy today and she keeps whacking me with her book when my voice goes! She's very affectionate though and is giving me lots of cuddles.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

I am sure that you are right to concentrate on keeping your bp down rather than a difficult and stressful court case. I do hope that you get some help from the consultant, and that all goes well on Friday.0

It has been quiet on here! I keep popping on for a read but never seem to have time to comment, or if I try it doesn't really make any sense or I think "you're just being amazingly dull here". Everything is going well in the new house, we bravely but the TV on the wall and it's very beautiful. I'm no longer having heart palpitations when I walk by it
I do feel majorly out of the loop for getting rid of facebook and twitter though *sighs* however, I am actually getting things done so I can't really complain.
Hope everything is going well with the pregnancy! My next door neighbours great grandbaby was born at last week at only 25 weeks, I think she said. It's awful and not ideal but as you know with Grace there's such a lot they can do these days. Good idea to take NIM with you, I don't know about anyone else but even when I'm super poorly I feel like I'm massively wasting the doctors time and I'm always in and out in 3 minutes! Good luck for Friday
I think there's a virus going around, I feel awful too and most people at work have had it. Sore throat, dry cough, snotty nose, fever. I've got flu bingo!
My Sister is back visiting atm too. Rich and I lied to everyone and made out we'd booked a weekend break in Liverpool for the bank holiday. So we dropped Ryder at my Mum's on Friday and set off.. to Heathrow! Picked my Sister up and surprised everyone. My Dad, bless him, apparently went into her room the next morning to "make sure it was real". So I'm having fun being a real sister again0 -
Hope you get the BP under control Dinah. Agree that its best to not do anything that's going to cause you stress right now!
Have you had your Morocco (??) holiday? Hope you feel better soon!
How can you not find boy's clothes cute?Girl's stuff is prettier but boy's stuff is cool and cute! Being going mad with Zach's summer wardrobe! Just lookit! Shirt, t-shirt, shorts, another shirt, hat
How lovely that your sister is back and it was a surprise Cinny! Have fun with her, hope she's going OK in the US!
Doing well here, Zach's found his voice and likes to 'talk' to us all day and if he's not babbling he's just grumbling away to himself! He's currently flat out on me after his first baby sensory class this morning, think it took it out of him!OH is going away for 2 nights next Friday and Saturday and I'm really dreading it. Zach's not a bad or difficult baby at all but it's still going to be darn hard work!!!
Don't know how single parents do it!
I'm off to see McBusted on Friday night and I'm beyond excited! :j Even better, it's in an arena with seats so we don't have to be stood up for 4 hours before the show even starts like when they play at the O2 Academies, my old knees can't take that madness any more! :rotfl:Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. Yep Morocco was before Italy
Boy clothes all look like little dad clothes! Either that or they have some form of vehicle on them. Bikes I'll accept due to the family interest. Wish I knew what size he would come home at as I want to make him his coming home outfit. Material is all bought but I don't have a clue what size to cut it - but I guess he'll be in the 5lb-7lb range most likely so it's not a huge variation.
More to the point boys names continue to be HARD WORK. We have found a few that we're actually quite keen on, but we're worried we're just not cool enough to pull off something a bit less mainstream, and all the mainstream we kind of like seems to be taken by someone we know and we'd quite like something that's just his.
Lovely about Zach starting to natter! I still have his pressie here, which is ridiculous given how long it's been! Is he sleeping through at all yet? Even just dropping the 3am feed so she was doing midnight-6am at a run made a huge difference to my state of mind.
Really nice to have your sister over Cinny, did her hubby come too? Grace met some very large dogs at the weekend, had me thinking of you. Just put the photos on facebook but if you're off there you won't see them. I couldn't quit facebook, I'd have no clue whats going on, so much of my social life comes through there now with mummy groups and the like.
Pregnancy yoga tonight, really enjoying it, especially as there is homemade cake at the end of every class. And before that is 20 minutes of Yoga Nidra (which roughly translates as yogic naptime- anyone who has had a toddler will know how lovely it is to just lie down for 20 minutes without the fear of a book being thrust at you, the opportunity being taken to colour in the walls, or a piece of semi chewed apple being thrust up your nostril). Feeling a bit better than earlier, still hot and cold, with a bad throat and ears but at least the sickness and dizziness has gone.

Oooh enjoy your yoga/naptime!
Zach sleeps from 10-2, OH does that feed and gets him back to sleep then he's awake for the day around 5.30 which is when I get up with him. Sometimes it's 4.30, sometimes it's 6.30 though! He's only slept through twice and once was on Friday when OH had gone out drinking and was dreading the 2am feed... think Zach was looking after his Dad that night!I really struggle when I don't get a 'decent' sleep (which is nowhere near what I used to class as decent!
) so really appreciate OH's help!

Lovely to hear from you all. Was just thinking today I miss our chat.
Dinah - sounds like best option to not peruse with court, you don't need the stress . 24 weeks tomorrow for you tomorrow is great, hope scan goes ok on Friday.
Cinny - how lovely about your sister visiting, must be so nice.
Birdie - Zach sounds so cute! I find it hard work when my oh is working at the weekends. Work feels like a rest compared! Poppy didn't sleep through till about 11 months and now is back to waking up at least once because she has weed... She is trained in day but not at night but hates having a wet nappy. Does he sleep much during the day?0 -
Birdie I saw McBusted last week, it was AMAZING! You'll love it! It's weird how how all the words come back to you after a zillion years.
Think you've made the right choice about the legal stuff Dinah, it sounds very stressful. Fingers crossed Friday goes well
Yay enjoy sister time Cinny
Nothing dramatic happening here, got some career decisions to make which is a bit scary. Been going running quite a lot and spending too much money, holiday to Cuba next month so my saving for a house deposit are not going well.

Hey Everyone
Hope you are all well, nice to catch up on all the news.
Dinah I hope the Dr will address your concerns when you see him with NIM. Still crossing everything that things go smoothly for you all. Sounds like the court case would be a lot of stress - can't believe it would cost that much, eek! Definitely better ways to invest that cash right now.
Lovely to hear about little Zach's progress, Birdie. Sounds like you have got a great routine going on. I love those little clothes, especially the shark shirt - sweeeeet!
Cinny that's a lovely surprise you and your sister cooked up. I am sure our family were overjoyed. I hope you're having loads of fun atm. Sounds like the new house is really coming along well.
Wendz hope it won't be long before Poppy is sleeping through for you guys again.
Things ok here, just at a conference in Switzerland atm. It's great but I'm really starting to get a bit more tired, uncomfy and stressed out. I really need to start to wind things down. Got another presentation next Tuesday in Sweden I haven't started prepping yetEverything is happening now because soon I will be too big to fly so it has all stacked up. Can't wait for downtime end of next week!

Toddler Kavics slept through at 5,5 months, she has been a brilliant sleeper ever since. Which might as well suits me just fine
.
Agree not to get on with the case, you and the baby is far too important.
We are back in the uk in 4 weeks time, can't wait, will be lovely to see everyone. Any chance of a London meet up again? Or Brighton one? I'm taking my little girl to see the sea finally0
