Stopped making any guesses on the date- don't think he likes it as any date that we think he'll come, or someone days it'll 'definitely be', he throws a strop and refuses to move! :p Thought there might have been something happening this morning as woke up with pains... but then got up and the pain stopped so must have just been lying funny! :rotfl:

Annoying stuff about ebay! It's great when it works but is so annoying as both a buyer and a seller sometimes!

Ah Birdie, hope you aren't too uncomfy. I bet you're dying to meet baby though. He can't stay in there forever!

Can I ask for some advice/ideas? I need to but a present for a friend's little boy who is turning one and I'm clueless! He is walking and talking a bit, likes soft cuddly toys - that's all I have to go on really! I went to a couple of toy shops today but everything was too advanced or too babyish - plus he will probably have/get loads of toys. I'm totally stumped!*

*Also seeing him yesterday has made me super broody! He's such a cutie!

Things he'll probably start to like soon are puzzles, books (check out the That's Not My series), music so instruments or anything that plays songs.... Grace got a Scout about that age who she LOVED, or did until she got his sister, read with me violet, now poor scout has a lot less love but still daily play. Shape sorters are surprisingly popular too, we have several.

Cutie babies are definitely known to get the ovaries going! I swear if I let my hormones do the talking I'd end up with 20 kids.

Went to a kiddy play centre today, we were supposed to be going to a farm too but it started pelting with rain. So going to a different farm tomorrow. Grace loved going down the big slide with me, but I injured my toe about 10 days ago (read possible bruise possible small break) and I found it really uncomfortable climbing and walking about without the support of my shoes. Mum came home early as she needed to take dad to the docs as he wasn't well enough to drive himself, turns out he has bronchitis AND flu, which explains why he's been literally hardly conscious for the last 48 hours. So doc has given him loads of drugs, mum is trying to get him to have a bit of soup for energy, but he can't stay awake long enough! Hopefully he'll be on the mend soon, he's due to give two talks on Wednesday but I can't see it happening if he can't even sit upright with 36 hours to go.

Mum and dad are booked to go to Edinburgh this weekend, if he isn't right as rain Grace and I will be going instead since NIM is working all weekend anyway.

No real money news, a week until payday for me and longer for NIM. We're roughly staying on top of everything this month but my pay is going to be a bit down on payday, and we've not got any big sums due in, although a few little ones which should add up to another couple of hundred off the debt. Will try to get a total pulled up too now we've paid a bit off again and its less scary.

Toddler kavics is 14 months old and loves: balls -can't have enough of them-shape sorter, stacking cups, stacking rings, wooden peg jigsaws, books (my friend bear, very hungry catepillar, owl babies, say goodnight to the sleepy animals, goodnight moon are the current fav). Duplo is good and little things like animals, cars. Toddler kavics's current favourite toy is my brother's old g.i. Joe, it's too funny actually.
  • Your poor dad Dinah, hope he feels better soon - though let me know if you make it to Edinburgh!

Not long now Birdie, I'm guessing 7lb 1.5oz btw!

I'm going to say 24th, very strong feelings thats a baby news day. I think that's the day you'd hit 2 weeks over though so feel free to throw things at me and certainly to prove me wrong.

Just realised my parents have booked to go away this weekend, and its the weekend I'm booked on a quilting course my brother got me for my birthday. So I can't go as no one to watch Grace, but I've already paid for it and I was really looking forward to it :(

Hope your Dad's on the mend now Dinah, poor man!

It's our 3 year wedding anniversary today  OH was expecting to be off on paternity leave but managed to book a last minute day off so we can spend the day together!

I think you could be right with the 24th Dinah, I just can't see baby coming out until he's forced out! :( So sick of the texts from everyone... just what you want when overdue, people constantly asking if there's any news and how I'm feeling. How the flip do they think I'm feeling and thanks for reminding me yet again that I haven't got my baby yet! :p

What a shame about the quilting course Dinah. :( Have you got no friends who'd take Gracie for the day, or your brother?
