I'm touched that people are getting presents for Baby Bird, not convinced he deserves them though! :p

Showing up super late to his own birthday? I don't think so. I wish I lived just that insy bit closer, I'd be around with armfuls of Ripples for you!

Be as grumpy as you damn well please, I can't even imagine how frustrated you might be waiting with all the discomfort and constant updates! Hope you had a good time with Momma Birdie, I always think she sounds amazing :D

Are you feeling any better today, Dinah? I was up way before my alarm this morning feeling dreadful too. So I naturally started thinking and over thinking and wound up having an existential crisis and feeling quite floaty. Was a lot to handle before 6am.

Mmmm Ripples! Might have to get one to tide me over until 11 o'clocksies... ;)

Another fruitless midwife appointment this morning, Baby Bird is perfectly positioned but just not interested in moving! Being induced on Sunday afternoon so hopefully we won't be waiting for much longer! :)

Big old hugs for you Cinny. Hate those nights/mornings where you've worn your brain out by 6am! :o

Hope you're feeling better today Dinah. :)

Birdie DD was very late and I was given Friday morning to be induced. Thursday evening I went into labour naturally. I'm still convinced it was the threat of the induction that finally got her out! Hope baby bird feels the same way ;)

Hope you are feeling better Dinah

Still rough but better than dad so mum has hoiked Grace and I to Edinburgh for the weekend as she'd booked the train and a posh hotel for her and dad and it's a shame to waste it. Grace is very, very excited to be seeing pandas at the zoo tomorrow. She's obsessed with pandas.

I don't blame her, I'd be excited! I was only saying the other day how I'd never seen a panda in real life and was pretty sad about it!

I think you should demand that everyone returns any presents they've bought baby Bird and exchanges them for gifts for you instead in light of his tardiness! At least he is in a good position though I guess...? My mum always jokes that my birth was the only thing in my life I've ever been early for!

At least there is an end in sight Birdie, you know you'll be meeting your boy before the weekend is over. :j

Fingers crossed it all happens naturally before then as Star says. Good that he's all in the right position and ready to go!

Aww bless grace looking forward to the pandas :) I'm not sure I've ever seen one either Shrimpy. Have a fun trip, hope you're all feeling better by then.

Today I have been listening to the sweet sound of ticks as annoying things finally get crossed off my endless to-do list. Plus the sun is actually shining and it's Friday. All of that is my excuse for eating two cakes today because it's a celebration. Yay!

Cinny, I hope you get some nice relaxation time today. Pre-6am existential crisis sounds like hard work.

Have a lovely weekend Dinah! Enjoy seeing the pandas... I'm not sure if I've seen them IRL either?! :o

Shrimpy, I love the idea of returning Baby Bird's pressies for things for me! I wonder how people will react if I suggest that?!?! :p

I'm really nervous about being induced so I do hope the threat of it gets things moving naturally! At least if it all starts on it's own there's nothing I can do about it... with an induction I can run away from the hospital at the last minute screaming 'Noooo!!!! I don't wannnnnna!!!!!' ;)

I somehow think the midwives would be able to outrun you Birdie! Had to visit the maternity unit at work today and I must say it made me a bit broody to see a couple of newborns.
