I already feel like replying with something sarky like 'Oh yeah, had him last week and forgot to tell you!'
SIL is the worst, sent texts every day last week acting as if I was already overdue! I know she's excited, but jeez! And if I don't reply within the hour she gets all worked up thinking that I'm in labour!

Thanks for the lovely welcome, that's very kind of you.
Afraid I'm past babies and toddlers, but it's lovely to read all the things yours are up to and brings back great memories. I liked the pics of Grace with her walker many posts ago - DS thought his was for standing in and being pushed around (one of those old fashioned wooden ones with blocks in!).
I'm mid 40s and DS became a teenager last autumn! He came along after 12 infertile years and made his appearance 3 weeks early. It's a slow decluttering of the loft now, as I come across boxes or bags of things that were his as a baby - 3 bin liners full of soft toys for starters!

Wishing Ryder a Happy Birthday and Happy Due Date Birdie! Hopefully the little man will make an appearance at some point in the next couple of days.
Went to a wedding fair yesterday and fell in love with a dress. Here behold the first Dress of The Day for a while:
Found it very hard to keep my composure with DF standing there, but it was so pretty in real life. Will definitely be keeping a look out for something similar when it comes to actually trying things on.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -

That dress is lovely!! Have to admit, I think our threadie weddings are the best
As soon as everyone's married I'll take control and post DOTDs which will range from dogs of the day, desserts of the day, deserts of the day, double downs of the day and maybe even Doctors of the day if I'm feeling a little sassy.
The waiting game must be terrible after the due date, BirdieI bet your OH really isn't enjoying leaving you alone now! At least you can be a little tiny bit relaxed in that everything is packed to go and ready at home when it is time. Just hope it isn't too long for you
Thank you for all the puppy birthday wishes!I suppose I should stop calling him a puppy now but I can't. I still refer to him as little when he's 40kg+ and stands head to head with me on his hind legs

Beautiful dress! Although the model is proof that Photoshop isn't always a winner... she looks like a doll!
No baby Bird.Midwife couldn't do much to get things going. Scared I'm going to be hanging around for another 10 days and giving birth to a monster child! OH is happy though because he's got terrible man flu so doesn't feel up to childbirth ATM (where's the rolly eyes symbol?!)

Haha Birdie, surely this entitles you to be even more difficult and demanding at the birth
. I told everyone I was due on the 28th rather than 23rd so by the time they had a chance asking I already gave birth to toddler kavics.
Good luck, hope the birth will be an easy one!0 -
Your poor OH
.
Mine had just finished a late shift and then had to stay up all that night all the next day and till about 2 am on the day after. Must have been hard for him.

Is the baby just not quite in the right position yet Birdie? Try to use these last few days to put your feet up, take a bath, if you feel up to it go out for dinner with OH, all the things you won't have the energy or time to do in a few weeks. Basically relax as much as you can, the most exciting and disruptive change of your lives WILL be here in the next 14 days.
Been out of the house all day and I'm exhausted. Kiddie craft session, soft play, went to pick up mum from school, acupuncture, coffee and cake then some shopping in M&S (Grace didn't want to leave without a top with a pear on it - her new favourite fruit). Nice to have a sit down.
