Yes but thats the thing that has got her goat, and i still think its utterly RIDONCULOUS!!!!!0 -
Mallotum X - To be fair, it is Coca Cola who have introduced (manufactured) 250ml cans and not Tesco per se. Presumably a market for a smaller can and Tesco are offering the choice. Ideal for those who want to cut down on the caffeine in Coke...0

Surely there are more important things to get sick and tired over.
For goodness sake, this is a board for VENTING about things. If you don't want to see VENTING, then don't come on here.
I also get sick and tired of these supermarkets and their pricing tactics, and so do a LOT of people. Watchdog and similar programmes regularly feature stories about things like this.0 -
Morrisons have fruit corners for 63p each, recently had 10 for £3. I bought 10 and used them
Yummmmm.
I quite like buying in bulk though. Other things do bug me if I want one but I feel like it's more expensive. Really, they're doing a deal on the bulk and not the individuals, but it never feels like it!0 -
What a stupid thing to say - 'why would I want 12 Corners?'
Erm, let's use that thing in our head for a second... 4 people in a family, one each, 3 nights of desert.
Does everything go out of date the next day in La La Land, where your sense of logic is clearly located?0 -

She said that, because she only wanted TWO. And she also said that it half fills the fridge with there being so many. The point of the post is to VENT about being coerced into buying a large amount of stuff she doesn't want or need. Did you not GET that?
Why this thread is receiving such moronic and ludicrous replies, just baffles me. It's a thread for VENTING on a BOARD for VENTING. Do you not GET that? Good grief! If you have nothing sensible and positive to add to the thread, why bother posting?
And maybe the whole family doesn't like bloomin fruit corners! And where did she say she has four in her family??? What a ridiculous response. Some people are just determined to be pedantic. How pathetic.0 -

Why do you think there are four people in the family?
Why do you think they all like the product?
Why do you think they want to eat the same thing every night?
Why do you think it's for you to tell the consumer how many of a product they should have to buy? There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
The co-op is the one that annoys me the most. I can always tell when a product will be on special, as they hike the price dramatically for a short period and then reduce it and claim it's now half price. Winds me up
I know exactly what you mean.
I live in Central London within the CC zone, my local Costcutter was taken over by the Co OP. Before it was the best run shop you could find, shelves well stocked, spotlessly clean and very quick service.
Since the takeover it's the complete opposite and they have massively increased the prices.
They do the increasing prices you mention and then either reduce them to more than the original price or keep the original price and put them on BOGOF.
The going rate for a single banana around here is 18p from Tesco or Sainsbury Metro, my local Co Op are 35p.
Their standard price for a can of coke is 80p, I can walk to a newsagents next to a tourist area and they charge less. Because of the price of the cans they increase all the other drink sizes according. 500ml is £1.50 and 2l are £2.50.
The previous owner used to charge 50p a can or on non coke it was three cans for £1.
Co Op have far higher buying power as he only had eight shops in a Costcutter franchise0 -
