Yes. England. The e mail staff received said offenders details will be obtained from dvla & passed to senior managers. My immediate line manager hs advised me to pay. My scoffing didn't go down to well... I was told I could end up in prison.
What a load of rubbish, this is a civil matter not criminal, so there is never going to be a prison! And despite everything ukcps must abide by the bpa code of practice, they must give you a popla code to appeal independently should a rejection is given. But they must also write to you first with a notice to keeper, so wait until that happens, unless its a leased car. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Maybe a few pepipoo flyers on the staff notice board would be of use

Can't fine you for a civil matter. They could certainly discipline you for misconduct - and parking in a disabled bay I really hope comes under that. Protest by all means, but what in the name of all that's decent possessed you to park in a disabled bay? Utterly thoughtless, inconsiderate, and unprofessional.0

The morality police have joined today to give you a piece of their mind
Forget the fact this person herself could be disabled, or be bringing a disabled person to the hospital! We don't condone parking in disabled bays without need , but we also don't condone penalties by private parking companies either When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. Pearse, I have to confess that I once parked in a disabled bay. It was 9.00pm at a supermarket. It was peeing down with rain and the car park was nigh on empty. I made a decision to park in a disabled bay near to the entrance to avoid a soaking. Was that utterly thoughtless, inconsiderate and unprofessional ?
I do not park in disabled bays and in most circumstances, would not condone it, but there are times and situations, especially where there is an over-provision of disabled bays or particular circumstances, that drivers might park in disabled bays.
The intolerance and righteousness of some people never fails to astound me.
Earlier on today I pm'd a regular on this forum for some advice for someone, who was registered disabled and had suffered at the hands of my least favourite PPC. The situation made the local paper.
In the reader comments relating to the article, there were some astonishingly intolerant views. They were not dissimilar to your own.0 -
I shall do so immediately. Ta
Hold your horses!!
Only send an appeal when the registered keeper receives the Notice to Keeper. NEVER respond to a windscreen 'fake PCN' from a private firm (unless your vehicle is a company or hire car when you'd have to respond to keep it away from idiots who'd pay it, and keep the ball in your court).
I take it you only have the windscreen PCN for now? Wait, the NTK will arrive in about a month and will be non-compliant with this, which is why you want it in your evidence!

Do not reply to pm's from new users offering to 'help' nor any posts asking for location/date/details, we don't need them but UKPCS do (allegedly!!) troll this forum.
Tell your idiot boss you have a right to appeal any fake PCN - just as the Hospital had a right to choose a reputable parking firm...hang on, there aren't any, but to actually choose to give the contract to UKCPS, I ask you, it beggars belief!! This explains about UKCPS:

Not only do we see regular threads where they harass genuine disabled people even when they know about the disability ( = illegal under the Equality Act 2010) but they also seem to be based in a caravan behind a Leeds pub as you will see from that thread! That's who the powers that be have appointed in this car park! Please do use the information to your benefit and to spread the word with colleagues, once you have won at POPLA* in the end!
*do not write your own POPLA appeal without coming back for help here from the regulars and looking at what sort of strong legal wording wins. It's NOT about saying what happened on the day or wording it with any mitigating circumstances - and it mustn't be a short but sweet version at that second stage.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You need to read the OP's post properly. This was a nurse parking at their hospital base, not bringing a disabled person to work. Granted the OP might be disabled but there's no mention of that.
I have no problem with not allowing parking firms to get away with their scams. I cannot however condone parking is a disabled space. I observed that I hoped it would be a disciplinary offence to do this full stop - forget the parking firm angle. As a nurse myself I find the OP's behaviour unprofessional, and as a senior nurse manager I certainly would be exploring the disciplinary avenue. This has nothing to do with parking firm invoices - but has everything to do with decency and professional conduct.
Disabled parking is at a premium especially in hospitals. This is somewhat different from 'over provision'. As the partner of a full time wheelchair user finding an accessible space is a nightmare - the last thing we need is for staff to start pinching them - leave that to the 'tolerant' general public. If my attitude is intolerant, so be it - in these circumstances zero tolerance is fine by me.0 -

Indeed OP gives the following reason for parking in a disabled bay ...I'm a nurse parking at my hospital base.
I'm protesting at the charges for staff parking hence my parking in that space.
There must surely be more effective ways of protesting that don't inconvenience disabled staff or patients? I would have thought that the employer may be able to discipline you for bringing the employing organisation into disrepute.0 -
Look we are not here to judge people , we are here to help them, that is the ethos of the site, if you can help then don't bother replying with you morality
This is what Martin Lewis saysI didn't set up MSE to be personally judgemental, but to help people whatever their circumstances. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
