    Evening all

DH at cricket now, so I'm back, stopped in at friends for a cuppa.

Really lacking some GUAG - think I'm a tad sad with DS1 being away. Going to make a cuppa and do an hour of something to try to spur me into action.

Oh CY but what a brilliant cause! (Hospice, isn't it? Ours was amazing, when DH needed them, to all of our family)

Best of luck, you will be in good company X

    Enjoy your midnight stroll, CY!

Barbecue dismantled (filthy!!!), shed packed up, back porch cleared, 30 minute catchup with friend who lives about 1/2 mile from our new house, various other bits sorted. Isn't it annoying when you pack up and seal a box, and then 5 minutes later you come across something else that should have gone into it? At least I've left the last couple of boxes in the study open, so that I can put in anything else that will fit.

DH has done his last shift as a volunteer on the Cathedral welcome desk. He's enjoyed doing that because he's good at greeting people and doesn't mind repeating the welcome message 100 or more times a shift. We'll have to find him something similar to do in our new area. NT volunteer, maybe?

Must cook food, then we're going out to a concert :)

Must have been a humdinger of night Bossy. Good for you.

Good luck with the midnight walk CY. I'll make a donation for your efforts to the local hospice.

Floors washed, final load out on the lines, bedroom all Dy$oned except under OH's minging bedside table and behind the chest of drawers - too big to move. I am, however, going to take the bottom drawer out and wave the D's wand around the bit of carpet I can get to, because I am absolutely terrified of moths getting a hold there. Probably do OH's b'side thing at the same time. Yuck. Bathroom and shower room done thoroughly including a pongy drain. Mrs Dog is totally exhausted - she keeps following me around and this is a house of stairs. Poor old thing was probably in her pen for 23 hours a day at the rescue place and she doesn't want to let me out of her sight just yet. The rest of the dusting and rehoming the rest of the gibble in my office will have to wait until tomorrow. I've still got to put the bedroom to rights, remake the bed, walk the dog, feed myself, and all by 9.00 so I can watch the final episode of Arne Dahl.

Now. Do I have a shower (or bath) as well in the immaculate bathroom and go to bed clean between the clean sheets etc, or do I fester? Decisions decisions.
    Better is good enough.

CY - have a good walk tonight

I have been very busy - upstairs looks the bee's knees downstairs is still awful but I'll get it done tomorrow

I've done lots of washing and a major amount of ironing, still have lots to do so i'll try to do more of that tomorrow too.

    Hi all

    Don't feel I've achieved much today :(

Bed stripped and put in WM
Washing hung on line & then got in and folded into ironing basket
    Got hair trimmed
Got birthday presents x 2 - delivered one off to sis-in-law as it's her birthday today. Got smiles from my 10 month niece, got a hand slap from my 4 yr old nephew
    Cleaned car
    Washed garden wall again

Need to remake bed and water plants.

Fellow fliers may I pick your brains as it were:

My garden wall as had 3 unknown climbing plants growing up (and in it) for an unknown number of years. The wall isn't in the best condition but I've washed it in fungicide and scrapped off whatever debris of the plants I can. But there is still more bits that won't come off. Do I just plant it and be done with it? I guess I can cover the less than perfect bits with trellis and climbers (have already got a honeysuckle plant). TIA

Dusty hugs for you, I'm not a mum but can imagine it's hard x
ionafan I'm sure there are many places crying out for volunteers with your DH's skills
CY good luck for tonight's walk.

    Deco x

Done some more in garden. Have cut back the cordyline babies (getting unruly) and put debris in brown bin, and swept top patio. Then, whilst brown bin was out of the way, I lifted all the empty plant pots from the pile by the gate, swept it all down and "treated" with a good sprinkling of salt. It's pretty shady round that corner, so not overly weedy, but it can get a little mossy between the paving.

Mum has given me her copy of my wedding DVD, so I've just backed it up to the external hard drive, and will burn it to another disc too. Am watching it and haven't cried, was so nice to hear his voice... While the inlaws are on holiday later this month, I'm going to try do a mini-compilation of the video I have of him. I think they'd love that, even it was upsetting, IYSWIM.

I need to make the kiddies beds and Hoover their rooms (or all upstairs really).

    Tomorrow:
[STRIKE]Empty DW, reload and do a kitchen put away.
    Tidy conservatory (again)
    Put a wash on[/STRIKE]
    Do a HHI
[STRIKE]Go get some more compost and sort the tomatoes and square planters out.[/STRIKE]

Oh, and I've borrowed an attachment for the bike pump so I'll go see if I can sort those footballs out...
