Do you know if any of the garden furniture is going in the sale?
Thanx in advance xx0 -
Retail worker - I'm not sure if your comment is a threat or a friendly advice, but ill take it as advice. If head office found out who i was then yes i probably would be sacked, but for them to find out who i am would take too much time and effort. I work in a large store in the south with over 200 staff in that store, most managers don't even know a quarter of the staff, and as i only use thefontofnoknowledge on this site for this account it would be pretty impossible for them to trace me.
Rachclaire - I'm not sure what garde furniture is going in as i dont work at garden centre next but if you live close to one go and have a look on Monday. A lot of the smaller stores will have the deck chairs and lounger, these will most likely go down
Celticghirl - There are a few kitchen bins going in the sale, but you will have to go into store early for those as they sell out pretty quick.
Jimbo- The pirates bed collection has been around for ages, it's likely to go in but ill check later and let you know.
If you go in this week and don't find anything with pencil writing on the tag, just check back later in the week. The stockroom gets done first and then clothes start to come down so keep checking, also most stores will have clothes upstairs that are not on the shop floor, but these will only come out on sale day and so unfortunately its a matter of getting to the shop at 5am on sale day.
One thing i have learned is that a large number of ebay sellers, market stall holder etc come and buy huge amounts of clothes, and then return what is unsold, so keep checking back as new clothes will be put out after the first few days.
Hope this helps someone0 -

i used to work for next few years back and we used to hide clothes in the stock room and few days after sale has finished scan the clothes shoes etc and most wuld be £1.00 or around there
dose this still happen ,next best thing was uniform allowance 75% off full time contract;);) iv still got some lovley suits and outfits from then the clothes are gr8t quality , after my little girl goes back to school think i might keep eye out for job there;)
i used to hate "shadow/pencil sale marking up" and always worked an early shift as i culdnt bear the idear of clearing up after the "frenzy mob " had been ,
worst i seen happen was a woman hit another woman with a pair of boots (she was removed from store;))
and 2 men rip a shirt apart:eek:
i also served one heavly in labour woman:eek:("she just culdnt miss the sale"
and she spent 4,000 on new whole house clothes the whole shabang:eek:;) she was very pleased i was :eek: yes we carried her bags to her car and loaded it for her :rotfl::T0 -

if u can handle being shouted at by irate ppl;) and possile fight break ups , cleaning up more clothes than ever
then do it i actualy got a full time job from a sale temp job so culd lead to more permant things
re:sale before public , our manager used to let up put stuff away and we culd buy at end of shift , so if yr lucky yes if not just hid it next stock rooms are massive and the store i workd in u had to use libary ladders (the sliding ones as the stock was from floor to selling on the home wear department (good hidding place for clothes and shoes as they arnt botherd to return to right department as they so busy with ther own stock to get out , also if u hid good enough righ on top no-one will find
good luck , p.s if u get a job i recommend u ask for the earliest shift possible ad-lest u leave before clean up time :eek::eek:
also on sale day our manger went to tescos and filled 3 trolleys with snacks drinks sandwiches alsorts and we call had a "lunch on work as u dnt get real breaks just a quick drink in corridor and bite of stuff as ur rushing about0 -
Hi, this thread is very helpful thanks to you. Do you have any idea if the Barlow Nest of Tables, Small Sideboard or TV unit may be in the sale? Also if not in the sale do you know if these will be in the new catalogue? If so, are they likely to be the same price and with the same offer - £50 off if buying two items. Many thanks x0

Anyone who has worked a Next sale knows its hell. Customers fight and generally as I'm 6,3 and pretty large I get to do security/kick people out. The stockrooms are great places to hide things I want. Our stockroom is about 2/3 the size of the shop floor and has many places to guide things. Although our managers are pretty good and let use put things away as soon as sale guns go live.
If you really need to check if an item is going in the sale look online and if it says loads of sizes are sold out its probably going into the sale.0 -
Anyone know when the invites start going out?0
