  • Just wondering if anyone can help? As I am hoping to get a summer vip slot.
I had a vip slot for the December sale, and I selected the time slot 6am... however when I logged on at dead on 6am around 70% of the stuff was sold out, which I found quite confusing because what luck would the people with a 9am slot have?
Is there some sort of knack or something? do I need to be logged in way before 6am? But you cant put anything in your basket before then anyhow! Confused...

I believe the couriers and maybe staff?? have slots before VIP customers.

As you're a newbie :) a tip- they continue to add stuff throughout the sale. The easiest way to check if they have added items is to keep an eye on the amount e.g. Womenswear 1275 changes to 1358

I pretty confident I won't get an early VIP slot this year and if you don't get an early one all the stuff has gone! In fact, I'm so confident I've already spent my money elsewhere in the sales.

I'll probably still constantly check my account though just in case. Old habits die hard. ;)

    Good Luck.
  • Is it true that there will be a NEXT furniture sale this weekend?
  • My local store has a position for temp summer sale staff, how does it work where i get the sale stuff i want first? Do i get to have a nosey round the day before? Im weighing up if its worth the job of 2 weeks stress lol
  • Hi everyone,
Justin been asked a question about how you can check if an item is going in the sale.

Firstly don't ask the staff, we won't tell you and its can cause disciplinary action if we are caught including the sack, hence my posting under a different account.

Ok to check if an item is going in the sale you first must visit a store after the 1st July.

On the tickets you will see a letter and number combination EG B12 usually in pencil. The letter is just the colour of the ticket to be used and the number is the sale price in this case Blue £12.

Occasionally the combination is smudged or missing, just look on another size. If it is illegible just half the price and that is the likely price although some prices are lower. The minimum discount is always 50%.

Finally if you find what you want, don't ask staff to hold them, they won't, Also if you reserve something on the phone with a store they won't hold it until sale day if it is a sale item, it will be put on the shop floor and sold.

The only way to guarantee you get what you want is by being at the store at opening time or getting a temp job for the sale days.

    Hi
    I have 2 questions
Do furniture tags get cut in the store if items and going on sale e.g. the corner snipped off?

Can you also order furniture if its on sale or do you just get the product on the shop floor?

    Very helpful post
    Many thanks x x x
  • Some time ago I remember a friend buying items at full price then returning them during the sale to receive full credit on them. She then re bought them all at the sale price all in one go in store.

Does anyone know if this is still possible? I didn't think you could make returns during the sale?

    Thank you.

first two days of sale you cant exchange goods, but from monday onwards you can, as long as you have original full price reciept for the item if bought before the sale you will get full price back & then can rebuy at sale price, but if you cant provide a reciept or bank statement detailing full price paid you will only get sale price for your items, hope this helps a little x

That's brilliant, thanks for your reply. :j
  • Any clues if any furniture will be included in the sale? I'm looking at Barlow and Corsica ranges.

First Vip slots usually start at 6pm in the evening so by 6am next day most of it would have gone
