I have lurked with these threads over the years...and is brilliant how those pennies every day soon brings debt down..
I have a few CC's and I want to knock the ones that are now charging interest on the head, don't want to shift, as this is what I have been doing and have got into a bit of a comfort zone with the debt.
I want to start off with my American express one..which I make my monthly payment online ( but as I have been a bit stressed lately I keep missing the deadline, so charges are being added)
so I was going to ask.. can you really pay small amounts each day, eg £2.00 payment each day etc.. without them moaning and groaning??
even though I am on a very tight budget I really do need to niggle away and paying off at least one CC in the next few monthsWork to live= not live to work0 -

Hi cooltrikerchick
You can pay whatever amount you like, I constantly make payments online to my credit card sometimes just a few pence sometimes a few quid, it soon adds up and the CC company don't complain and even if they did who cares
If I were you though I would set up a direct debit for the minimum payment then you never miss the deadline and don't get charges then just pay whatever you can afford on top.As of 24th August 2016 total money owed was
£15,708 :eek:0 -

thanks..
so what amounts to I report on here, the 'extras' or what ever I pay including the min monthly payment?
what I will do is nominate one card at a time..
So it will def be the American Express one.... as this is the one I have been using as a day to day cc...Work to live= not live to work0 -

Some people quote just over payments others quote minimum payments added with overpayments.
I make a payment a day be it direct debit or a quid in a jar etc it doesn't matter the overall aim is to reduce the balance. Good luck and welcomeAs of 24th August 2016 total money owed was

Welcome Cooltrikerchick.
I make very small PADS each day. Don't always pay it straight to the debt, but put it away to be put towards it in a larger sum.
My PADS at the mo are very small, as I am self employed and my work is seasonal, so am just padding loose change from my purse. But soon I should be earning properly again, so should be able to PAD higher ammounts.
As you can see from my signature I have a LARGE debt and a long journey, but every little bit put towards it makes it a smaller debt.
Its surprising how just putting loose change towards my debt adds up and makes me feel like I'm heading in the right direction!!
So today my PAD is just another 50p please.A Payment A Day keeps the debts at bay
