Well done - have a great evening - I'm with you in spirit :grouphug:
  • Good on you girl!!!

You might have the odd moment when you miss him , but just remember 1/ That is perfectly natural because you are human and 2/ Would you go back and put up with all his MAJOR flaws? ..... NOPE , so good luck with your new start & your freedom & happiness x
  • Well done Top Girl! New starts are a bit scary at first but once you get rolling, it's a fantastic feeling.

I put on loads through comfort eating over a two year period when my relationship was going wrong - soon as it ended that all stopped completely and the weight just fell off me - no diet, just ate normally again. Have your last treat (and don't beat yourself up if you have some more treats as well) but get back to eating what you used to and it'll make you feel great. There's no trigger for your comfort eating any more so it'll be easy, promise.
[STRIKE][/STRIKE]I am a long term poster using an alter ego for debts and anything where I might mention relationship problems or ex. I hope you understand :o

A week and a half on:

It's not been easy, not by any stretch of the imagination.

But I am 2.5lb lighter, sober apart from a couple of drinks on Saturday night chilling out on the sofa with a friend and slowly starting to think I might actually get through this!

I'm off to organise my books - I start the final course of my degree tomorrow having obtained several extensions (should have started April) so that will keep me busy!

Hope the rest of you are still feeling good?

Well done you, Top Girl! The weight loss is very impressive, any tips to share? :D

I'm doing fine thanks, 7 weeks today since I put my ex out of the house. I'm still proud of my progress, and looking to the future with optimism. I'm a million times better off without him, life can only get better.

    Good luck tomorrow!

Well done you, glad to hear it!

Thanks for the good luck, hope it'll be fine and concentrating on that will help take my mind off stuff...

Loosely following Slimming World but with one day off a week as I'm not good at dieting and need something to look forward to, in no rush as such so can manage as I am.

A day off each week seems to work well, I know someone who followed that rule while dieting :)

As I say, I'm in no rush, so I hope it will work for me too.

I am off to read your thread now as I don't know your story and feel very rude!
