Good morning all, please tolerate the over keen newbie :)

I've just got £3.10 from Cash 4 Clothes and remembered £3.30 in Brand Match coupons which need to be used up.

I'm disappointed in myself that I rushed ahead earlier this week and put my first 10 items on eBay as a) it's now free listings and I should have waited and b) I would like to edit the titles but I'm not allowed so should have been more canny there as well, oh well you live and learn. x

I'm getting ready for a car boot tomorrow and unlike eBay feel like I have taken the time to pick up decent tips, am going with a friend and her husband and our children so I don't feel so daunted.

    Hi guys.

I'm a total newbie to posting here, but have been lurking for a few days reading. I've decided to unofficially try these challenges this month and see how I get on.

I am pregnant and due in 6 weeks so money will be tight when I will be on maternity leave. Decided to see if I can make £5 a day. Got £9.40 from Quidco yesterday (a transaction I'd totally forgotten about!) and won a £40 massage voucher. I also used a £5 off aldi voucher at the beginning of the month and have a £1 off clover which I hope I can use in lidl today as the clover is reduced to 99p. Listed an item on ebay this morning as well so it's all a start.

Not a huge amount of actual cash in the pot today but every little helps..... 80p in spare change and roadkill :o

Plus, I used my free Sprite voucher today in my local Co-op, and they have a 'buy one get one free' offer on Sprite and Fanta, so I took two bottles of Sprite up to the counter and asked wiv a cheeky smile if that counted, since the voucher was 'paying' for one bottle anyway. And they let me have the two bottles for free, so that's £2.50 extra savings.. and a couple of bottles of Sprite chilling in the fridge :j

I've also done some random copywriting articles that were sub-sub contracted to me by a mate so that should be some extra pounds next week, plus I've been sent a few more travel blogs to do so that will be extra quids as well.

As for the rest.. I rang my TV/phone/broadband company to try and reduce costs, went through all the services we had slashing everything to the bone which works out at a whopping £16.50 less per month  I won't count that though as I shan't get the benefit until July anyway.

..and one extra financial goody to report, I was phoned by my credit card company (I've been paying them off religiously for several years, never spending anything) who offered me a 0% interest for 12 months deal on any balance transfers.... Mmm I was VERY interested since my other credit card (with my bank) charges BRUTAL interest rates and I had to use it quite a lot earlier this year just to stay afloat. I did my sums and even after factoring in the handling fee I will still get the equivalent of nine months interest-free.. that's saving approx £140 a year in interest!!:T

So I've gone ahead and done it straight away. And it feels good to deprive my bully-bank out of their crazy-high interest rates too! Now my minimum payment is less than half what it was before, and I shall overpay as much as I can into my savings account (for a bit of extra interest) and try and get enough to pay the whole lot off next year when the 0% deal expires.

Heh, I thought I'd not done very much this week but I guess after reading all that back I've been pretty pro-active after all!!:rotfl:

I've got just one last paper to write before June 26th - one last essay between me and my Degree.. so that's what I'm doing all weekend.. so goodbye sunshine, hello text books!!:A

It is a couple of days since I last posted. Friday was not at all productive in terms of making money as I made nothing but I did list 6 lots for sale on fb but sadly no interest as yet.

Today I went through updating my online income spreadsheet and managed to redeem £15 vouchers from Toluna, which I won't count till I receive the vouchers and discovered that I had made 41p on Nectar and 11p on Mr A price guarantee, which takes my monthly balance to £9.50

I really need to get back into things, as this month is not going to well, as currently sitting at £70 less than I should be at this point of the month.
