Actually it's not.
This thread was started to ask if we expected visitors to follow house rules or were they exempt.
The poor OP (who I don't think has been seen again :rotfl:) specifically mentioned opening windows :rotfl:.
In answer to the OP my windows are generally open but I would close them if a visitor was cold :T.0 -

The Ribena coloured carpet is a case in point. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it hasn't been cleaned up so no stickiness .....................I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

I have cream carpets all through my house
Shoes off at the door please. Dont like it? Dont come in.
No smoking in the house
All visitors are expected to follow the same rules as those that live here
Any children that jump on the sofas will get told off by me if their parents dont do it first
I cant understand anyone who has carpets who walks around with shoes on indoors. Slightly different with wooden floors as they are easy to clean with a mop but carpets?! They get all sorts ingrained into them.
Everyone is welcome here, and we often have visitors and have never had any complaints!

And you don't see a stain that has been cleaned, but has left a coloured mark on a white / cream / beige carpet!...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
the reason i started this post is when we visited parents (now parent) they didnt really like their sliding patio window open or many windows in the house? It was really stuffy sitting there especially after a long car journey?:footie:0
