I always look out for cheapest fuel (Sainsburys usually). I also use an American Express Nectar Credit Card for the vast majority of my spending, puts the debt back a month as well as collects nectar points which I've been doing for year and half now (Totaling circa £130 at the moment).

Food me and the OH generally do a list of stuff we need and strictly get that list although the past month hasn't been brilliant with both us having exams and I have certainly felt the difference in money being spent, mainly in comfort eating haha, although we have kept away for takeaways. Bulk buying of toiletries is always a good one I find, amazing the difference there.

We turn off the combi boiler when we go away and also during the English summer time where appropriate. I also have a thing about having everything turned off, why have it on when it's not benefiting anyone and costing money to power?

Other than that I generally shop around for everything and always look for a deal or a vouchercode, with technology today there's no reason not to really.

-Cut back on the food shop and bulk cook meals when I can and special deals are on offer.

-Bit risky but I go to a few boot sales and markets and buy the odd vintage article cheaply here and there and pop it on eBay it's done well for me so far :)

-Car pool with a couple of other mums at school so we all save a bit on petrol.
