I spend too much on my Boots shopping addiction (am trying to go cold turkey at the moment!)
Also, if I have cash in my purse it tends to get frittered away on cans of coke and chocolate in the little shop downstairs from work. It is not doing my purse or waistline any good!

:rotfl: sarah i am exactlly the same, i have loads but still buy them especally from avon as the girl that does it is poor, but now i have a list of everything i have and i will use all that up first. At the lastest count i have over 50 bottles of shamppo and shower gel :o

I used to be like that with Avon:o. I had a second job to make extra cash to pay off my debts but used to buy loads of Avon stuff(which I didn't want or need:eek: ) from a fellow-worker because she was always worried and sometimes tearful about being so hard-up! I kept my money-troubles private but on thinking about it now maybe I should have taken some of my 'clutter' in and had a table-top sale during the lunch-hour:rotfl:. Better than standing in a cold wet field at a Carboot sale !

Breakfast and lunch at work - boo! I can't make myself eat when I leave the house in the morning (6.45am) so by the time it gets to about 9.00 I'm ravenous!

It's purely an organisation thing with lunch, that and wanting to leave the office -if i take my lunch with me there's no excuse to leave!!!
Proud to be dealing with my debts!;)

Well, I like a nice bottle of wine once a week and it lasts till about Wednesday or Thursday for the two of us but that means that if I buy wine I have to buy the men in the house beer and four cans is not enough to last them beyond the weekend so its usually eight. Also we have curry from the supermarket on Saturday evenings and I buy books as there is no convenient library and I cant do without a book on the go. Luckily Asda books are cheap and I mean to sell them all on Amazon eventually.

Have you tried wwwreaditswapit.co.uk? I love my books and am always swapping the last few read for some new ones for when I finish the ones I've got now! It's an excellent idea and only costs you £1.90 (max) per swap.
  • Mine would be takeout. We were really good after Christmas, but now we've slipped back into once a week. This morning we had the "no more!" conversation, so hopefully we can sort ourselves out!
It used to be clothes for me, hence the CCs getting hammered, but it does mean I'm nicely attired still, even though I've spent no more than £50 in the last 6 months on clothes.
It should have alerted me to a problem when I realised I needed a dressing room.
It's a very nice dressing room, though.
I've now not put any purchases on a CC for about 4 months and all the balances are going down, and I still look smashing, so there.
Now I need to stop the takeouts while things still (just) fit!
