Diet Coke (Tesco's Cans), Magazines and Gadgets/Computer bits.

I can't resist either of the above.. spend quite a bit about £20 per month Coke (Joint account for OH &I ),Solo - £15 Per month magazines and books and about £30 per month Gadgets and Computer bits (this can vary wildly, averaged it out).

It's my pocket money allowance so hey.....

Eating out / lunches at work / take-aways

Used to spend a huge amount. At least one take-away a week £20, plus lunch / snacks out every weekend £30, plus lunches at work £3 /day. That's a massive £3380 per year:eek:

We still have the odd takeaway or sunday lunch, but no more work lunches.

I was shocked to realise I had used a very large bottle in 4 months -admittedly bought duty free in Gib for £50 . I cant go without it as I feel undressed and realise I now have to replace it with one I have to buy in this country, very expensive but to me its an essential and I cant wear anything else as its been part of me for 20 years.
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

as for what I spend too much money on???

    ME!

purely and simply I spend to make myself smile. Today I tried tried tried to ignore the looks and the gibes but it got too much, I felt fat and friendless and miserable so I bought myself a new outfit, forgot all about my troubles and now have a night out tonight and tomorrow... shopping cures all my ills :o

Hmm clothes, make-up and DVDs make up most of my spending.

But I no longer spend too much. Make-up is essential stuff only unless I have birthday money or something, DVDs under £5 only unless it's very special then £8, clothes essential only as I'm gonna be going through them so fast soon!

chocolate  It is my comfort food and I get through quite a shocking amount of it every day. I would save a good amount of money if I didn't eat the stuff.

I've always justified it by saying I don't smoke, and hardly drink, but really I am just making excuses :o
