What do you spend too much money on???

My hubby and I have a budget of course and like many of you try to live within that each week.

I have discovered this week that we spend wayyyyy too much money on diet pepsi. Cans and bottles. Cans for home and me buying bottles at work for lunch etc.

I am even too scared to work out what this would be a week and even more so a month.

Just got me thinking that even though we are all budgeting, living to our SOAs etc, is there still something we spend too much money on?

Easy question for me - lunch at work! I am getting better, and generally manage to bring lunch with me 2 to 3 times a week, but I just don't get organised enough!

Magazines - I know they're a waste of money but I still end up buying at least 2 a week, which would probably be about £150+ per year. And chinese take-aways - we don't have that many but it all adds up.

Snap! I have managed to cut down on coffee-buying at a £1 a time and now bring in my own around 3-4 times a week in a flask. Mind you, it does mean I drink more coffee as the flask generally has enough for two cups - lol.

Going out but luckily my OH usually pays but then I feel guilty.

    Veggie burgers/ specialist veggie foods.

I have to have my fizzy drinks too but at 3 bottles of Asda coke for a pound I wont complain!

Diet Coke - cans for work, crisps with lunch - I should buy the multipacks but I don't.

Started buying Tescos own Limeade 44p 2 litres instead of Diet Coke for home though.

Until 3 weeks ago it was diet coke. I was made redundant 3 weeks ago and haven't had a can since I left.

I worked out yesterday that I was spending £20 a month on diet coke (at least). most of it was Asda own brand cans at £1.08 for 6 (used to buy 24 at a time), but there was also the Pepsi Max at 50p a can from the work's shop when Iran out of the Asda cans.

I used to take in 2 or 3 cans a day and then have a couple of cans when I got home.

    £20!!!

Actually.........I won't be buying any next month - if I transfer £20 to my savings account at the end of the month, I can add £20 to my Olympic Challenge total!
