Oh nerfdad! At least it didn't affect the whole house....
I had that bug a few weeks back. Terrible for about 24hours then you're right as rain.
Morning all, I'm just about to go up to the shops with my sis. There's a great deal on innocent juices in Iceland at the moment that beats all the other supermarkets (£1 per 900ml) and my family get though them at some speed so I'm going to pick up a few!
Also gonna get my nails 'did'. Dunno what colour yet. Today's dilemmaDebt free 6th December 2014

No DD3 decided I had not had enough of hospitals and thought it would be a good idea to badly break her arm in the middle of her GCSEs.
Was stuck in hospital with her 2 days, 2 hour operation to put it right now she will have trouble getting through airport security with 2 plates and screws in her arm. At least 8 weeks in a cast which will be put on next week once they are sure the wounds are healing ok.
She did come out late last night but it was the first chance I got to lay down since thursday night. I could not sleep in those hospital chairs.
Hoping it doesn't affect her exam results and that she recovers quickly x"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

Absolutely amazing, 14 days today since her surgery and she looks as good as new. She had her aorta valve replaced in her heart so is cut from her neck to almost her navel. Its a long recovery time for this op, 6 - 12 months.
An 80 year old that is up dressed every day and sitting playing card games on her galaxy tab:rotfl:
She was moved earlier this week to the cottage hospital so a 45 mile round trip instead of 140 miles.
Many thanks for asking Claire. x
She sounds an amazingly strong woman x Hope she continues to improve very quickly x"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

It will soon be my anniversary and when we got married it was the hottest day of the year - can somebody please tell me when summer will arrive :rotfl:
I had to squeeze a glove over my hand on Sunday- we'd been in the garden all day and it started getting a bit chilly. Lovely to be back in Scotland.......notActually its quite pleasant
No chance of catching up, seemed to have missed the last 2 threads with one thing and another, had a quick skim of this one though.
I wouldn't worry too much about airport security. End of last month I broke my elbow in 2 places - they tried to set it back in place with a cast but it moved and ended up having an operation to have a metal plate and pin fitted and a couple of screws. As you know I went on holiday recently and only set it off at Aberdeen but I probably only have a small amount of metal compared to your DD.
I'm lucky in that I don't have a cast on since the op but struggle to fully extend my arm now and i'm told this is really hard to get back
Sorry I must have missed when you did that Westie, it must still be early days for you yet. I would think too soon to be able to extend it completely, it does get harder as adults.
When I broke my arm just below the elbow took a good few months before I could straighten it fully, although did not have any metalwork. Hope you do get back full movement in your elbow hun. xx0 -
