Just read this local story. Our justice system rehabilitates child abusers and murderers but they lock away a man who is clearly at his wits end caring for a disabled child after the death of his wife. His cries for help ignored.

Patty it just makes my blood boil - we have got so many situations where values and PC ness are so skewed in favour of the wrong doers. It is so sad that this man is obv at the end of his tether and needs help. Urgently.:(

    I had one of those.

And it ended up not surviving

    It bit me

It probably died of alcohol poisoning

Logie - loved your baby shower basket. So many goodies in there - I would love to receive something like that. :T

Tiny - your DD's injury sounds horrendous. Hope she is doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances. How worrying for you.

Snap - love the cartoons/pics. Just what we need to make us smile on a miserable grotty day :j:beer:

Thanks everyone for all the womble info - all mine are just worthless bits of paper atm but will contribute soon. Hopefully:D

    terrible isn't it?

It's awful, no supervisions of medication, parents have fought to get her into a 24 hour supervised independent living house but I am not sure what the role of the supervisors at the shared house is as she is still over drinking and over dosing regularly. Not that I am saying the supervisor should do more - I genuinely don't know - but it obviously isn't enough support for her.
