Just read this local story. Our justice system rehabilitates child abusers and murderers but they lock away a man who is clearly at his wits end caring for a disabled child after the death of his wife. His cries for help ignored.

Good morning everyone. Just back from visiting DD in Orlando on Sunday night, then last night we were at the Grampian Restaurant of the year award dinner. Son's new restaurant took the runner up spot. Not bad after 4 months but he has worked so hard. Very proud parents. It's been a whirlwind couple of days!0

There is no care for these sorts of problems. Until you become a nuisance to the police no one wants to know. I have a young family member who has suffered from mental health issues since a young child and the only time they get any help is when they get arrested and sectioned.0 -

No chance of catching up, seemed to have missed the last 2 threads with one thing and another, had a quick skim of this one though.
I wouldn't worry too much about airport security. End of last month I broke my elbow in 2 places - they tried to set it back in place with a cast but it moved and ended up having an operation to have a metal plate and pin fitted and a couple of screws. As you know I went on holiday recently and only set it off at Aberdeen but I probably only have a small amount of metal compared to your DD.
I'm lucky in that I don't have a cast on since the op but struggle to fully extend my arm now and i'm told this is really hard to get back
As far as I know I have no plates or screws (loose) but every time I go trough airport security I seem to start off the buzzer .
I went through the new fangled x-ray machine last time and fair play the guy remarked that I must be in awful pain with my knobbly knees and actually bent down to ' inspect ' the one I'd been having lots of trouble with .
I guess the new NHS funding is going into the airport departure lounge .
Happy Hols to All .
Hi Mad , it's amazing what comes out of a packet of cressI was young once , now I get older all the time .0 -
