So the missus was told at work today that her team faces redundancies unless they can cut 20 hours
2 people on full time offered to drop a day amd 2 people on part time offered to drop half a day. Saving of 21 hours right there. Job done if management accept
One of the full timers has just called the wife and i'm hearing the wife say things like "well you have to do whats best for you"
I think she's changed her mind about cutting a day and wants to take her chance with avoiding redundancy
If the missus gets redundancy we're screwed and will have to sell the house within a matter of months because we sretched ourselves to buy it
Sorry to hear this, hope it doesnt come down to loosing your house, fingers crossed for you that it all works out.0 -

Firstly, I hope you like my jocular desecration of the start of the part of your post I've quoted*.
Secondly, it can't be assumed that everyone would know, as some people might well not have read the posts where I mentioned my condition or might not have seen them (especially new readers to the Elite threads who haven't been here from when I joined earlier).
* The 'joke' being an exaggerated version of my sometimes pedantic approach. The whole point is I wouldn't go that far in my pedantry and I have deliberately done it there for jocular effect, as well as a self-deprecation.0 -
