Good evening:) - hopefully my entrance tonight will be better than last night.

I've seen the Poundstretcher leaflet from inside the weekly freesheet - sometimes avoiding the major supermarkets can save more money. Not necessarily on some Walkers Classic Variety: they have a 12 pack plus 2 free for £1.89 - which is more than the £1.25 each for 2 multipacks each of 22 bags on A glitch vs Morries from a few months back.

However, they have Choccie Dodgers and Toffee Dodgers (are these actually Burton's though - they look at bit like them), 140 packs, any 4 for £1.00. Apparently RRP of 79p each, so when supermarkets are selling pack of Burton's at £1.00 each they are way overpriced!

Whitworths Granulated Sugar 1kg bags, any 2 for £1.50 (or 79p each). So 2kg of sugar for cheaper than the £1.74 Silver Spoon Granulated Sugar (even with previous 10% off). Though you'd have to work out if the 5kg Tate & Lyle or the 5kg Silver Spoon are better value.

Some Maxwell House Classic Roast is now 89p for 94g. (£1 per 100g.) Some Colgate Max. White and Advanced White 100ml - any 2 for £1.89.

These some of the ones to be checked - this post to be updated once I've worked out the details.:)

That's a lot of dodgers!

When i went to Goa for the 1st time i got eaten alive, more than 50 mossie bites on my legs just in a 30-40 min transfer from airport and this contiued for 6 weeks:eek::eek:
Then i read about eating marmite, the next 3 times i went i got the oddbite! So if you like marmite eat loads for a few weeks before you go away:D

Marmite contains b vits, and vit b12 which is supposed to help repel mossies. Worth trying this and mossy repellent and also the Avon skin so soft oil is supposed to repel mossies.

From a womble today, vs Morrys:

1 x Harpic Power Plus Toilet Cleaner Original (750ml)£2.00£0.99

I've been catching up and have a few posts to reply to since this morning. First though, this from a couple of days ago.

Yes indeed Morries do have this at 99p - it's been a near-miss from my list. I've started thinking 99p is too much for 750ml cleaner - perhaps I have own-brands in mind - but also I'm looking at the straight prices in Ms and can't take account of any MOCs you may have. This could be extremely good with MOCs (for those outside Northern Ireland). Morries also have another version of Harpic 750ml at 99p - I think it's the Harpic White & Shine Bleach - I think may be the Original version but sorry, I wasn't paying much attention to whether it was original or citrus:o since I was, for right or wrong, taking 99p as being too expensive. If you get the right one it's also £2.00 A vs 99p M.

Well, havent had a shop for a while now, but had a really nice one tonight. Went to 3 adsas and a sainsburgs. Got enough pizzas to fill my freezer, so no more for me, I even had to pull out poor Rebeccas bones and throw them in the bin to make room, she wasnt a happy badger!
In the third adsa I found the elusive choc bars, so 9 of those fell into my basket, will keep the barmaids happy ;)
Got myself a litre of JD in sainsburgs using a £7 brand match, and a £3 off a £20 spend, then got a tasty £9 brandmatch back.
Got back, all happy with myself, then saw that TM had posted that the pizzas are giving 20p, so have missed out on that, as got those seperate to the choc (well you would wouldnt you!) so that put a little downer onto what was a lovely evening shopping (and enjoying the drive in the sun from one shop to the other)........But found something that more than makes up for it.........................

Definitely get something with deet in. I did a RTW trip late last year and I could not have survived without it. I hate creepy crawlies, flying....anything. Toughened me up that's for sure!

Do be careful with deet on children though. It's overuse has been linked to seizures in small kiddies.

    :( :(

So the missus was told at work today that her team faces redundancies unless they can cut 20 hours

2 people on full time offered to drop a day amd 2 people on part time offered to drop half a day. Saving of 21 hours right there. Job done if management accept

One of the full timers has just called the wife and i'm hearing the wife say things like "well you have to do whats best for you" :(

I think she's changed her mind about cutting a day and wants to take her chance with avoiding redundancy

If the missus gets redundancy we're screwed and will have to sell the house within a matter of months because we sretched ourselves to buy it :(

I have the same problem. They emailed back telling me how to use the voucher but nothing about what I have just bought even though I said if I cant use the voucher I want to cancel it. So emailed them back asking about it again.

Snap. I've just asked if I need to cancel and start again or whether they can sort it out at their end

I am impressed to have got such a quick reply :)

Good morning all.:) I don't want to get bogged down in all this and got to go to work soon. Lightheartedly my thought is "...but will they be fine after my long explanation?":o. I apologise to anyone offended.

Now, I should leave it at that since explanations often compound matters. Although no-one had expressly said they were offended, it's probably me failing to see between the lines and pick it up.

I already gone to look at the definitions of "arrogance" and it's been a very insightful experience for me. I've now reached such a complex position that it would take pages to tell you what that is, and would also take us way off-topic of what this thread is supposed to be, so I'll leave it at that. For the moment though - probably just a short reply from me to something from earlier when I come back this evening.

    Have a good day.:):)
    Hello

I suppose I could have said that any 4 packs from 140 packs were charged at £1:D.

aau1, thanks again - for noticing the missing "'ve " before the part you've highlighted.
