but had an absolute nightmare with one of those pre loaded visa gift card things :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
SA couldn't get it to work, supervisor came and same for her, was taken to cs as long queue with customers doing daggers:(:(:(
was at cs for over an hour while evry (well seemed like it:cool:) member of staff tried with it, rang customer services and I checked online on my mobile that it was indeed loaded:o:o:o
Turns out that tills reject the cards if used in part payment towards a higher amount.:mad::mad:
It was only when I suggested me paying some cash to reduce total bill to amount of gift card that it actually worked:j:T:j
Anybody else had problems with the cards?
Little bit of a lurker as I just don't have enough hours in the day to keep up with this thread - but saw this and yes - TS, same issue. My SIL gave a few of these as gift cards obviously thinking they looked a little more thoughtful than cash and I had exactly the same issue with them. Seems totally ridiculous and a bit of a con as they are advertised like pre-loaded credit cards.
I had a similar card from a shopping centre and I had to tell the SA exactly what was on the gift card for her to input against a higher amount so I guess applying the same principal to these you could use them against a higher amount but would take a SA that knows what they are doing to do so.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
