Then your RX was only valid for 1 year0

Full check and contact lens check in one appointment - same as the year before .
My first eye test with boots was to join their scheme for the lenses - I don't think I got a paper copy of the eye test in either 2010 or 2011.
I had the appointment in 2011 and went back a couple of months later to get new glasses as I was not wearing the contact lenses at work any more, they just got the details from their system .
I cancelled the lens agreement in about december last year .
Why would you have a test two years running unless you have an eye condition which warrants it and then not have one in 2012? Also it would be unusual to say the least not to get a copy of your prescription.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

But that person isn't buying prescription lenses, which by their very nature, require an up-to-date prescription0 -
For contact lenses you have to have an annual check , I was on boots monthly direct debit scheme and one of the benefits of that is that the annual check includes an eye test - obviously paid for by myself as part of the monthly payments - so it was an eye test just like every other eye test I have had for glasses and also a check to ensure I was ok with the contacts.0

The RX is probably only valid for a year if it is used in conjunction with a contact lens check - this is quite normal.0

It's also not unusual to not get a paper copy of your prescription unless you ask for it .0

Its only a problem if they don't give the rx too you after you ask for it.0
