Parking Eye - Parking Charge Notice received today - HELP Please!!

Hi, I have received a Parking Charge Notice in the post today from Parking Eye. I parked at a Retail Park for 2hrs 15 mins whilst my dog was being groomed in Pets at Home on the retail park. I did see the signs for 2 hours free parking but thought that as long as you shopped there and didn't park up and walk into town then parking was free - stupid of me to assume I know!!! I have gone onto their website and appealed by stating the above and attaching my receipt showing that I collected my dog 5 mins before leaving the car park but want to know if I can do anything further - I do not want to/can't afford to pay the charge and feel agrieved that I have received it. I've read other posts saying just to ignore it but I don't want to receive court summons letters etc or get a bad credit rating from not paying the charge. I have to pay £60 before 6th June or £100 afterwards!! Any help/advice would be appreciated. Many thanks :-(

Calm down. Relax. Chill
Ignore all letters from these scum, unless genuine court papers turn up [in which case come back for further advice].
There is nothing else to be said or considered on this matter0 -
I have had a very similar one as well. I had to stop at Keele services and get the AA. I was there for over the 2 hour limit and have been sent exactly the same PCN. I have been through this forum and the most frequently advised course of action is to ignore the notice. I am still confused as to what backing I would have for that course of action? Is that the same for all PCNs or are there specific examples? For me, I also bought from the shops at the service station, but I am told that at least £30 has to be spent, but I cannot see where this information come from. Any help would be greatly appreciated.0

Thanks for replies. I will see if I get a response from the appeal I did on line. Emon - I spent over £30 but not sure if the amount of money spent is relevant to these people. Di0

to avoid confusion, with respect ,please start a new thread for this, otherwise folk will be answering and the op doesnt know if its for them or you,thanks.0 -
parking spy could take this further if you choose to ignore, even though its a scam, advice is to read stickies re ,,popla,,you then can ,,,a)ignore or b)appeal via the popla route which would cost parking eye/spy/lie/etc £27-00 +vat to proceed, usually at this point they may decide to call it quits, its up to you, please read ,,popla stickie.0

Actually Parking Eye DO cancel fake PCNs where people have spent over £30ish (sometimes).
And we don't advise ignoring fake PCNs any more so the ignore advice is OLD. Every case needs a separate thread but only needed if the advice on ALL THE OTHER Parking Eye threads here isn't clear enough about appealing and POPLA. Don't know what that is? Read the forum...
The POPLA stage is the only appeal stage that people really need forum advice except to say in your first challenge, don't say who was driving (obviously).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Please call Pets at Home and complain like hell. These crooks won't stop dishing out their fake parking tickets until their employers kick them out from their car parks.0
