Tallyho that is such a nice thought and very kind of you to offer. Seriously. We'll see how we get on with this Bissell thing first of all. But that was a really kind thought & I'm grateful for your consideration.
But poor Maude the Hoover Constellation. I'll never quite be able to part with her. So many memories. When my bro tripped over her and banged his head on the mantelpiece (he still has the scar). Or when we had a student party and stuck a cushion on her and used her as emergency seating. When Brenda the late & long lamented cat hissed every time we switched it on. And when my own kids were toddlers and liked to play housey with Maude .
As I'm writing this her power lead and plug is dangling out of the hall cupboard as if to remind me "please don't dispose of me ... i've still got some life left in me yet ..."
You know, until I kinda hit my late 30's (and now my early 40's) I'd never quite understood why my parents and theirs before them hoarded quite so much obsolete junk. But I know why now. Because these domestic appliances are the only things which seem constant in my house when everything else is changing so rapidly.
Heavens. What a profound thought. I've passed into middle age in just one post ...
Maybe I don't want this Bissell thing after all0 -

I think this may be referring to the email not my letter which should have arrived this morning.
Did anyone order outside of the "fault hours" and have the email proving this?0 -
Are they offering to re-take the order at £0.00 or at the proper retail price ?
I'd be amazed if they honoured this but good luck anyway .0 -
My email has a confirmation time on it of 20:45 pm0
