  • The merc dealer didnt have a T&C that states the price you pay is the price you pay and you dont have 32 orders in your inbox confirmed. Besides, I need a hoover for my Merc as the cleaner has returned to the Ukraine.
I love this tread this keep me awake and cheerful @ work :j

well in the pay now box it was £0 so tha is what I am sticking to. If they dont offer the hoovers, then compensation to avoid bad press will be sought.

The T&C's does NOT say , " the price you pay is the price you pay "

    It actually says :

The price you pay is the price displayed on this website at the time we receive your order.

No price was displayed so you are completely wasting your time over this one .

    Read these 2 T&C's :

    4. We take payment from your card at the time we receive your order, once we have checked your card details and stock availability. Goods are subject to availability. In the event that we are unable to supply the goods, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. A full refund will be given where you have already paid for the goods.

    5. The price you pay is the price displayed on this website at the time we receive your order.

If you go to court what will be the basis of your case ?

they took 0.00 from my account already aaah they took every hour.
btw. can someone take print of their T&Cs
    it might come handy

by the way the £0 doesnt constitue a contract is rubbish. Tesco had to adbide and deal with fault equipment after giving it away under the overprice terms and conditions. £0 is still a cost. The cost is £0.

Tallyho thanks very much for your advice. Like I said last week we'll have to agree to disagree ;)
But we've now got the BCG fighting our corner ! Yay !
  • Guys and gals
just came off from the phone and they denying that they recd any orders and asked me to check my credit card when the payment taken (someone has used their brain in bissel but not enough)
    I said:
    I logged onto your website.
    entered my personal details
    entered my dob
entered my credit card number along with verification code
I recd a confirmation from you and you are saying that you have absolutely no details of me neither by postcode / surname nor by order number that is Interesting

She insisted that I shoulc check my card statement.

I said I wanna an affirmative answer that my details will not be lost or misused if you have such a flaky system that takes order and send a confirmation without even recording to your system then where my data is gone.
I tried to give them a different kind of shock. want them to admit that it bwas a mistake and apologies rather looking for stupid excuses.
may be u guys can also call them and say similar thing.
this morning power cut now missing records .

Your wrong , the price displayed was a blank box !!

When will you actually get it into your head that the displayed price would be that next to the item on the day in question .

On that day there was NO price .

For everyone who actually thinks they will get this , WAKE UP & move on .

I'm wide awake now thanks! If you don't try, you don't get. If it didn't get one Tallyho, I'll be willing to sell you mine when it comes! :D

Sorry but I don't know what overprice terms and conditions are.[edit: I presume you do mean Tesco's R+R policy regarding overpriced items.]

Was this as a result of Tesco's R+R policy? Because that would be different as despite the fact that the eventual cost is £0 you would still have paid (and then had your money refunded).

  • NO
I dont expect a hoover. Honestly I dont mind if they keep my hoover if they admit it was a mistake and apologies. an assurance that my data was not misused.
