Why is there no help??

we have no savings at all, and obviously initially my husband would be unable to care for the children. I chose a childcare position to apply for as I then do not have to find childcare for my children as the hours are school and term time.
We are in private rented accommodation not social housing0 -
Slightly blinkered. If I went to work I wouldn't cover the childcare!
Granted the OP could poss find some temp work to cover her husbands absence but then will he be capable of looking after them while recouporating and let's face it there plenty of competition for any job the op goes for so at short notice would she be likely to even get one?
Regarding savings hindsights a great thing and even if they had it could they have afforded to save!?
Had you bothered to check you would find the children are at school, or at least they were a few months ago.0 -
You not working is your choice, but it comes at a cost. If you only have one income that you rely on then you need to either build savings to help you in this sort of situation or get insurance. Did your husband not have any accident/ sickness insurance in place?0

But being a SAHM is something of a luxury choice and you've posted about being deep in debt for many years.0 -

People have answered your question which is that you need to get a job. Most families can't manage on one low income and I was simply commenting that it's even harder when there are a lot of debts involved.0
