    Hi Everyone,

Apologies I have been out of the office and have not checked this forum.

Everyone should receive their fuel voucher in August. Shell Customer Services will say September, but the Director at Shell who we did the deal with directly confirmed on a number of occasions everyone should receive their fuel voucher early August.

If you registered your loyalty card before 30th June, you will get your fuel voucher in August. If you registered after 30th June, you will have to wait untill the next voucher delivery run, which means you probably won't receive your vouchers untill November.

If your account is still showing 4050 points, please call Shell Customers Services. These should have been transferred over to your reward type, but again Shell customer services will be able to look into your account for you.

Sorry for the delay in my response. I will keep an eye on this thread for the next few weeks.

    Thanks

    Neil Campbell

I think this Shell deal was a ploy to get people signed up to the new 'Mighty Deals'.
I haven't seen any other good deals from them, and am bombarded with emails from them daily.. all the offers I've seen in these have been pretty carp.

Looks like they did one good deal to get them started with lots of peoples email addresses.

My shell points are still 4050, but there's no minus to show my fuel vouchers are coming yet... is this normal?

    Hi Fuzzgun,

We do ask all customer to register if they are buying a deal from our website. As a Daily Deal business we will then send maximum 2 emails a day. One in the morning and another in the afternoon. If you do not see any other deals you like, please simply unsubscribe. You will no longer get emails.

We obviously try and get as many great deals as possible, but they obviously won't appeal to everyone. We have a great LOVEFiLM deal live at the moment, but again not for everyone. You can either keep receiving our emails to see if there s anything you like, or unsubscribe.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks

    @MightyDeals representative

My account still shows 4050 points, but it was the Waitrose voucher I went for (before 30 June).

Do I need to contact Shell?

  • MD rep Neil says we should get vouchers within first couple of week in August.

  • The goalposts seem to be ever moving in this deal.

I rang Shell Customer Services today only to be told the it will be the end of August the vouchers will be sent out - that's sent out, not when we should receive them by! He explained that if you registered at the end of the month, it will be two months from the date of registration. Therefore, if you registered at the end of the month, it will be then end of the month, two months later.

I just rung Shell CS as my points are still on the card. He insisted that the mailing will be going out at the middle / end of August, even after I read him your post. He thought somebody may have misunderstood or misconstrued the message.

We followed that by a discussion about how Shell petrol is so much better than supermarket petrol because of the additives they put in it. I realise this is a bit OT but he said some of the garages are franchises, and they can set their own prices. Like the garage near me is 1p more expensive than the one a couple of miles away owned by the same franchisee !

I bet after all this Shell and possibly MD are wishing they never started this deal with all the time / man hours it must have taken.
Thank you for reading this message.
  • I rang Mighty Deals today before checking this forum. They gave me two numbers for Shell, 08459006008, which was an automated line which kept cutting me off when I pressed 'star' to speak to someone, and 02079341234 which was a very rude man who told me to e-mail as he wasn't prepared to discuss this deal with 'customers'. Nice! So don't waste your money ringing these.

Guess I should have read this first!
