All the euerby's that are on there I put there about 18 months ago. Since then however I seem to have lost my account passcodes and when I contacted them about it they couldn't find them either.:(

i started doing my family tree when i lost my mum last year.

got an email today with names added and found my cousins i havent seen for 25 plus yrs(as they moved to holland) are looking for their half brothers (both of which i know where they are)

only to find out frustratingly that u need to be a paid member to send an email so i wonder if any kind mser could help me out if they are paid members.

i wouldnt ask but thought what the heck as these are cousins i never thought i would see ever again and i feel so helpless knowing i know where there half brothers are too:eek: :o

any help would be appreciated:A :T

    regards

i am interested in tracing my family tree, but am a bit of a loss as to where to start, and how to keep the cost down.

does anyone on here have any experience of this that they would like to share?

There are lots of websites which you might find helpful in tracing your family tree.

There is the IGI on https://www.familysearch.org, also Free BMD and Worldconnect. These are all free sites.Rootsweb has message boards for most counties and for many surnames

If most of your family came from a particular area you might find it useful to join a local family history society. Many of them sell copies of parish records on fiche or CD or have members who are willing to do look-ups and they often can put you in touch with other people researching the same families. They are not expensive to join.I'm a member of the Cambridgeshire society and it only costs £7 a year and has been well worth the money.
