you got the product, its 65p you have lost out on and the seller has stated that they will give you money off any future purchases. what more do you want? No offence but i cant really see what else the seller can do too put it right. Come round and clean your house from top to bottom? Write lines? Surely its no big drama?

Burbs, I'm afraid you are wrong on this one. You obviously haven't read my posts. The seller I have been dealing with HAS NOT offered any form of refund- not that I wanted one in particular. The outcome of this transaction is clearly stated in my post before this one.

If it were me I'd mention it to the seller first to see what they say. In the mean time I wouldn't leave any feedback until they do. I wouldn't use the feedback system to blackmail them.

If you don't get anywhere or they don't care and don't respond then I might consider leaving the neg. 65p not a big loss, but it's still your 65p

Again- If you had read my last but 2 post (inc this one) I have already left feedback and already contacted the seller. The outcome was stated in this post.

OP paid 65p extra and has gained what out of it?
    the seller has self insured!

THE OP HAS EVERY RIGHT TO DEMAND A REPLACEMENT because they paid for insurance!

if the extra 65p hadn't been paid and the item went missing TOUGH !!!!!!!!

for people sending 1000's of low value items, it costs a LOT to insure by royalmail

so, charge a bit extra for post on each item, but post standard delivery and if one goes missing, replace no questions asked!

    can't you read?

Look, I'm not being funny here, but this thread is going totally haywire. The item has not gone missing, I have not demanded a replacement, blah blah....

And just to clarify, a free COP also provides the same amount of insurance as recorded delivery. THE REASON I like to have recorded delivery these days is for the folllowing reason: If the item doesn't turn up, at least the seller will be able to see that I haven't signed for it, therefore I'm not lying as i've been accused off in the past, believe it or not!

Mods, can you please lock this thread?

I can read just fine. Since you seem to think that capitals are necessary to get your point across, let me spell this out for you: the OP paid 65p for RECORDED DELIVERY. The item was NOT sent RECORDED DELIVERY. If the seller wishes to self-insure their items then they can charge the extra 65p just fine, but they cannot then state that they will be sending the item by a delivery method which they will not be using

I think you will probably find that the seller simply forgot and/or didnt realise that you had paid the extra for recorded. I have done this myself before and refunded the extra.

When you have it as optional in a listing and you get a payment email through paypal, sometimes you miss the fact that recorded has been paid for.
