aww Juliejim (((hugs)))
hope you are finding some smiles among the tears and reliving some precious memories
I am showered (DD is at work at 10) - I have taken my steroids and anti-bs; had a better night; no coughing, but I still ahve a cough.
Have pegged out some laundry and am hoping to do a little fluttering today; have already bleached the tiles/grout in the bathroom, post-shower.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hello
Remember me?Can I come back?........again?
I'm a mess, work is a mess, and my house is a mess. All a bit overwhelming really, but I know, from past experience....s
, that fly lady works for me.
Hope you can cope with two returnees in one weekend.
After a concerted effort over the last few weeks (and with DS1's help :A) the living room, dining room, stairs and DS2's room are no longer an embarrassment and he could finally have friends here to play. :j for a little pre-birthday party. They were all lovely and are welcome to come back anytime.
DS2 is 9 today and we're still not sure what we're doing - never thought further than the party yesterday. Looks like OH is going to spend is Sunday as always (started with a lie-in) and I'll have to take DS to MILs at some point to collect his card. So far we've unwrapped his presents and he's played with them while I had several cups of tea and looked back at the thread for a bit. DS1 has really spoiled his little bro with a tablet, pokemon tins/cards and skylanders pjs.
DS2 would like to take his new DS3 to the shop to collect a free pokemon character, so we might do that before taking DS1 to work later. Apart from that I'm really not sure. It's lovely outside, so we should probably go somewhere, but I've misplaced my get-up-and-go...
I only have a small list for today, at least, but they're all things I need to get done:
Laundry (at least towels and bedding so they can dry outside before the weather gets worse again)
DW
update spreadsheet and do budget for next month (payday today)
take DS1 to work and collect at 11pm
make a plan for my week off so I don't get to next weekend and wonder where the time went
Birthday fun with DS2
I'm looking forward to checking in on the new thread tonight and catching up with everyone else.
Glad to be back.

LOL - here they all come - a bit of sunshine; they can see the dust and now the guilt is setting in!;)
(I am joking BTW)
yup folks - Hotel California here! Nice to 'see' you Mrs C! Ionafan's been keeping up the German end of the thread and posted a yummy recipe - German Gooseberry Cake. S'very nice(even if I DID use rhubarb, and ginger, and ground almonds;))
In the country park by me (points) there's a Civil War re-enactment today! Not well enough to go, I fear...
And, because it's been mentioned; this is the ORIGINAL TWINKS HOBNOB recipe post. Must be one of the most-thanked posts on MSE!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Loft treasure found... a box containing Tiddles baby stuff abd some of DS2's and DS3's... I haven't looked at it as it was filthy so has all been shunted into the washer! I'll see what is salvageable for the baby and the rest can go to recycle.. there is my entire newborn cloth nappy stash I thought was lost forever!

Ah-ha more returners! :T
I was wondering yesterday how many of the new year joiners were still with us, didn't we have a sort of superhero theme with gold spandex or something?
After I'd got the washing hangout this morning, we went off to the park for an hour or so, then to Mr M (right across from the park) as I'd read they had fuchsias for £1, and wanted some for the back wall. I bought 10
Also got a new washing up bowl, some fruit and other bits and bobs but forgot the milk  ah well I have a carton of UHT so we'll use that and buy more when we're out tomorrow.
Just fed kiddies, DD is shattered, hoping I can persuade her for a nap... We'll be back out in the garden later - incredibly hot at the mo and we've no shade.
DS wants to make gingerbread, rather than twinks. We might do it tomorrow though as its due to be colder and wetter again.
Just having a cuppa and mull over the plan for this afternoon...Bossymoo

I leave them sat in the washer after it finishes .. it drains the water to the bottom and empties the loose water.. .. I then drag it out into a stacking crate and drag out to hang on anything to drip.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Good afternoon
Visitors came & went. I think DD2 has had a good birthday weekend. She is in town at the mo with DD1 trying to spend some birthday money. I think they are going clubbing tonight! It will be her first time!
1 load on the line, 2nd in WM. DH has walked the dog & is cutting the grass. We cleared a lot of stuff last night, but I have put on the DW, cleared the dining table & hovered through. I have then just sat & caught up with the thread. (((hugs))) Juliejim. Welcome 'home' Roundtuit0 -
