Evening all, hugs for all those that want them/need them xx

I have lost a week again..where did it go? Has anyone seen my week, did anyone steal it...lol I start the week of with all good intentions and then come Tuesday, heck Monday afternoon it all goes down the pan..lol

Monday we had the stair carpet delivered and installed so I was cleaning up after them - but I did hoover through the house when the fitters had left. Tuesday I went to a friends house in Herne Bay for the day, so obviously that was that day disappeared. Then by the force of nature herself I went down with a doozy of a cold. How can I get a cold when I haven't seen anyone or been near anyone with a cold. I blame nature....blooming hot and cold weather she can't make her mind up what she is doing. Anyway this blooming cold laid me up like a goodun.. And it didn't help that my normal cold tablets have been discontinued for reason only known to them... :( The others don't work so didn't really take them, only the odd paracetamol to reduce the fever... So inbetween sweating and sleeping, I have done as much as I can. I did brave going out the other day to a friends but after I got home I zonked out for the rest of the day...lol

Went shopping today, and although I was doing okay till 2pm I then fell asleep until 7pm... I tell you something I have slept for England with this blooming cold.

Not whinging honest, just I am being extremely cautious so that I don't catch pneumonia.

D has a day off playing steam trains tomorrow so I am hoping to do some ironing and more cleaning. And then Monday we are off to a garden show, that is if I am feeling better.

Oooh did someone mention Twinks hobnobs? Would it be that naughty Valli by any chance..lol I might have to make some tomorrow now that it has been mentioned :rotfl:

Piggers sending you gentle hugs because I think you need them, but not too close as I don't want you to come down with my cold.

Twink's hobnobs? - me too! They are scrumptious!

Have the three of you eaten ALL the rhubarb cake, Valli? :D

We have had a great evening. My main course worked very well again and every last bit was eaten apart from a few potatoes which will keep for [STRIKE]tomorrow[/STRIKE] later today. Friend's cheesecake was yummy, especially with raspberries and cream, and the cheeseboard was demolished together with 2 bottles of wine and most of a bottle of malt whisky. All the washing up and clearing away is done :) and we shall sleep well tonight :)

It's definitely an "eat with a spoon" type of cake! Germans usually eat their fruit cakes with whipped cream or the squirty stuff. My children always wanted ice cream or custard with the plainer (non-meringue) type of cake. Thick Greek-style yogurt is also good. Whatever takes your fancy :rotfl:

    Good morning ladies x

I'm going to be in and out today: picking DS up from Hull at 10am, having lunch at my parents house at 12.15pm, and going over to feed a friend's budgie aviary mid-afternoon. But I am going to 'flutter' in between.

I've joined in with the 'hoarding' thread which was recommended and actually put two broken toys into the dustbin yesterday :T- one and only DS is 20 :o.

It was lovely to not face an obstacle course in the kitchen to reach the kettle this morning. (That wasn't the toys that was yesterday's removal of a grocery delivery and pile of laundry.) And I've opened windows upstairs to let some fresh air through.

    Have a glorious Sunday.

    Morning All

Thought I'd join in with you again for a bit - planned on doing so yesterday but my grandad died so I ended up doing nothing.

So far this morning I've, put washing on line, stripped DS's bed and stuck that in the WM, cleaned my bedside cabinet.

Anyway, anyone fancy joining me for a HHC?

    Love and hugs to all

Well.. if you need company on the drive back.. I'm up and dressed :p ..

I hurt much less than I thought I would today.. who said moving furniture would fix things.

Baby is flipping between breech and not repeatedly the last couple of days.. I think it is looking for a comfy position and can't find one.. that or this one too just likes hurting me.

Dot upstairs doing OH high-5's... in the face.. she's amused!

cuppa and address some devastation. Aiming for 50 binbags out this week.. I don't care where they go but they are going.
