Well it was obvious someone would say that... ;) Considering I've lost 50lbs already between 2009 - 2010 I think I am doing pretty well! ;)
  • Are you allowed to buy 2 seats?

if you have used someone else's name, and they don't check in - then the seat next to you may well be released and someone else sits there.

So double check you are definately get to keep 2 seats.

I think you have to specify that you want to pay for 2 seats for one person.

It's not double the cost as I think you don't have to pay for something that you do for 1 seat - not sure if it's taxes or APD.

Twisted Cherry - I hope you don't have the same experience as this guy:

Booked direct through customer services and explained I wanted two seats for myself. They were incredibly helpful and I only paid 60% of the initial price I was charged when I made the booking for one seat last October!

    Ha Ha...

The airline I am travelling with specifically asks that people who have booked two seats check in at the check in desk at the airport rather than online! Obviously because it would affect the headcount! :D

If you are getting to be the size where you even need to ask the question, it's a sign you need to be looking to lose some weight.. Don't let it get to the stage where you're like that poor 37-stone guy. It's so much easier to shed an extra stone or two than to be faced with the daunting prospect of needing to lose 5, 6, or even 10 stone!

I should have also pointed out that they have pre-booked my seats for me as well, so I definitely have two together, a window and middle seat! Hopefully my friend will check in and get the aisle seat! :)

Agreed, it's a work in progress! And when I booked my trip last October I was scheduled to have bariatric surgery in December which was cancelled the morning I went in... It's now going to happen around April, hence the reason for wanting to book an extra seat for my comfort!

My O/H always needs an extension belt and there's never a problem, even on Ryanair.
