Omg your lodger must be a relative of my lodger! My oh timed her the other day and she was literally 20 mins in the shower... I'm not exaggerating! She also still has her heaters on in her room full blast and then opens the windows... It's June! Has no one told her!

Sounds exactly like mine! Next time I'll ask for an eco friendly slightly smelly hippy ;)

Be careful what u wish for... Our first one smelt so bad we had to ask him to leave! He would go cycling in jeans and proper shirts and shoes for a couple of hours and never showered! People would comment on the smell in our house when he lived here (and we have dogs etc!)

Oh dear that is probably even worse... so apparently the perfect lodger doesn't exist.... However before I was a homeowner and lived in shared house I do not rember massive issues with the flatmates- obviously puts a different perspective on things when it's your own place...

Got a cheque in the post as a refund from an insurance policy I managed to pay twice last year-£55.2.... now all I need is to find some time to go to the bank and actually pay it in....
Also gave my lodger a shopping list for household cleaning products which she said she'd get
Did lots of gardening the last few days- costing quite a bit as I've gone a bit OTT with new pots and flowers but it's looking so so pretty now... really pleased
    Night shift tonight- bah

Finally got to the bank to pay in my cheque and while I was there thought I might as well OP £300..... oops ;)
Now really have to hold back till payday otherwise could get into a spot of bother... also have a camping weekend with the girls planned in 2 weeks time which will require petrol/booze/camping money so I'll try and behave for the restof next week :p

Hm have been thinking about increasing my income. I can do well paid extra shifts at work so spending my time on surveys etc is not really the best use of my time... only problem is they would be night shifts and they are literally HELL. So far my sanity has been more important to me but 390 £ for 12 hs work is pretty good- if I subject myself to that once or twice a month I could make a real dent in that mortgage...... any thoughts on work life balance?
