So good news, my complaint went to the Legal Ombudsman and obviously they found in my favour and awarded compensation for lack of communication etc.
Now it’s back to Carpenters, I’ve emailed a few times to find out what’s happening with the claim and when it should be resolved but obviously no replies, they don’t pick the phones up still etc.
So I am now going to just keep trying to contact them again, give it a month or so of no replies and then start another formal complaint, then back to the Legal Ombudsman if needs be, it’s the only route that I have if they simply won’t reply.
  • Hi
I have had a claim going om with them for over a yr. I had a doctors report done but still no further on. I provided the engineers report and my medical records basically everything they asked for. I am not expecting to get much but I just want it resolved now. Anyone got any ideas? I can't get through to anyone and nobody replies to emails!

I’m also dealing with carpenters, I’m glad I found this thread. I feel I’m not the only person who has been left waiting with no communication but also struggled through injuries to be organised and through and provide more than asked for.

After not hearing much since October but emailing and messaging on the website communication form many times I finally received some news.

Carpenters have said the third party insurance believes I have exaggerated my injuries but all they have submitted to the other insurers is a medical review and photos of my car.
No Evidence of my physical injuries and no hospital or doctor evidence.

Now I’m waiting to find out if Carpenters want to pursue…if not I have to pay legal costs…

Wow, this is basically the situation my partner is in.  He has today been told the other side insurance are saying he has been dishonest and exaggerated etc and they provided points as to why, most of which are what the solicitors have said anyway and not us and we have been complaining to the solicitors the whole way through and I even had to do their job for them and respond to the other side insurers with the actual medical evidence and details in all reports and we made an official complaint with the complaints team but it doesn’t get anywhere. Been passed between about five different handlers and each one gets worse as it goes. Ultimately carpenters are saying we can go to court or close our claim now and pay their legal costs which god knows how much they would be as this has been ongoing since 2022. My partner can’t deal with the stress of it all anymore as his mental health has really deteriorated through this, their communication is shocking and how they call themselves solicitors I don't know! He certainly doesn’t trust them taking the case to court but looks like we are out of options!

Hi, I was thinking to respond to the third party insurers with my medical evidence also. I didn’t know if I could or should.
