carpenters solicitors......... verdict?

I found this thread because I was searching for other peoples' experiences of Carpenters to see if my bad experience was a one off. I had an accident back in June. Not my fault. Initially things were ok, they took details and authorised physio. Although, i did have to give them all the same information multiple times.

Since then, my physio sessions ended and the provider requested more sessions as I am still in a lot of pain. I heard nothing back, checked with the physio and they said they had not had a response from Carpenters. I chased it up, tried emails and phone calls. No response to emails at any point and no answer on the phone. I have also tried to contact them to send me a form I have to fill out, to let them know they have entered the wrong details on some paperwork, and for a couple of other things. They have NEVER, in 5 months, responded to my emails. I have never spoken to the person who was named as handling my claim as she never answers her phone. I called the main switchboard and asked to be put through to ANYONE. Spoke to a lady who was helpful, she told me the medical report hadn't even been requested (by carpenters) and that had held up my physio. So after speaking to her I then tried calling back and emailing multiple times to chase up progress. Nothing. No answer, no response to emails. I rang my insurer, they gave me a name and said that's who I have to speak to as she's the person involved in my claim. I have never heard of this person before. Tried calling. Surprise surprise no answer.

So several months on my claim has stalled, I have no idea whether they have taken note of the additional info I emailed them and I am still in a lot of pain waiting for further treatment. I could have just seen my GP initially but was told it would be much quicker to go through insurance (mediated by carpenters). The wait to get an appointment with my GP surgery is 5 weeks unless it's really urgent. So now I have no physio from insurance, and have a long wait to sort it through the NHS. I have been totally appalled by how poor their service is. I'm not sure if I am able to request a different solicitors though.

If you are on twitter then make a post and link in their head honcho Donna Scully - usually a quick bashing on social media pulls a company around to help the affected person @Donna_Scully

Same here, no replies to emails and calls, stonewalled . I emailed the CEO of the company who is Donna Richards . Email her on dmr@carpenters-law.co.uk and complain, that's how I got mine sorted. Just had my final payment for a non-fault accident back in June 2014. Good luck all. x :A

Carpenters contacted my 18yr old son after he was involved in a car accident which wasn't his fault. It has been going on for 18months. My son was advised by them to go for compensation for his injury and sent him to a physio that they supplied. A week before court date they have advised him to drop the claim as a tweet was recovered to say that he played in a football match four days after his accident. They told him they could not continue his claims as they had little chance of winning. Now they have sent him a bill for £9,200 for their services!!!!! His injury developed over time and he is still having treatment for back pain. Had he have gone to court and not won, he wouldn't have had to pay based on the 'no win no fee', but now they want almost £10.000 from him. He has lost his car which was written off, has had to claim from his own insurance for the car, minus his excess and will probably never get affordable car insurance again! All this when the other party admitted liability!!!! They are a disgrace and I will be writing to the Solicitors Regulation Authority. And they will have to take him to court for their money, he's a student with no job and no assets.

I have had experience with Carpenters and they fought tirelessly to get me compensation for an accident which killed my husband. I trusted the advice they gave me (even when at times it seemed a little bleak) and I would never have been able to navigate my way round the minefield that is the legal system. However, if you are not satisfied with the advice you get it is always better to get another opinion.

Hi ,why did you use Carpenters as they want you to lose the case THATS WHY TESCO AND OTHER INSURANCE COMPANY'S USE THEM THEY EVEN SAID IT ON CARPENTERS WEBSITE please look at the Google review and their Web they make you lose no matter Wath you need to change the immediately. . They recipe blank doctor report and they fill it them self it's bad news .
Read the Google reviews and the more negative reviews they get the more businesses the insurance company gives them it's scam . Sorry for you

Carpenters solicitors gets paid from the insurance to fabricate the evidence .
And they use fake doctors it's all scam .
And the more negative Google reviews the gain the more business they gain and get . The insurance company can see they doing good job .
They take 6 years to deal with the claim as you paying 500% extra because you got claim on your name that is not settled that's why you get ignored
Just take your chances and change them read the doctor report because it's the catch you signed doctor report that written by con artists solicitors not by doctor .
