i love my penguin primarni xmas jumper from last year too. The jumper designs this year are cheesy rather than classy, but there was lots of interest in them.

Has anyone ever made the candy sleighs?

I am struggling to find a UK version that doesn't use hersheys. Anyone any suggestions what to use instead? Think I may have to embarrass myself in the shop measuring all the mini chocolates against a kitkat :rotfl:

I will report back on my findings :)

I've got the Kinder bars, 16 for £1.65 pretty much everywhere x

    Xmas Saver!
Just a thought re the santa sleighs
the middle level - could you use the mini bars of choc (mars bars, milky way, twirl etc)

At the moment Morrisons have the multi bags of Buttons and Twirl at £1 bag instead of £2.80 - sure Tesco and others soon follow suit.

If anyone has C0-op - they have 2 tins for £9, (kids mix, hero's, celebrations, plus something else...) xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

oh thanks I will pop in there, know this is a Christmas thread but these will be great for Halloween :)
  • I'm definitely doing the Santa sleighs this year, thanks to those who posted links.

I ordered Robertson's mince meat from tesco.com and they substituted them for their own brand... I'm not complaining as they were still only 20p each! I think word got round!

I like the idea of those sleighs. I'm wondering if I could do a posh adult version for some picky rellies? Has anyone ever done that?

I've done a more adult version using Thorntons chocolate bars, they do ones about the size of a kitkat which you can use as the base. Then either use their other bars (alpini etc) for the rest or make a Santa sack out of shiny red card (cube with an open side) fill this with chocs and mini booze.
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

I think I am going to do a more adult/posh version for the teachers (as this will be their only present every one else is getting them as a extra apart from sons school friends but budget is only £1ish for them)

I will still use kitkat as base and put one of those mini thorntons bags for £1 on to be like the sack and a lindt Santa at the front.
