yes. No idea how much job seekers is, sorry but I would ask for a third of it, as a "token" payment. Are you able to quantify the extra costs arising because she is living there, just in case she gets a bit shirty about it.

Good luck (you might need it if she's anything like my nephew was for a while) !

I think its fair to ask for a contribution, i dont know how much money you get regarding JSA but a percentage should be used for board, unless she is spending it all on getting to job interviews etc

What does her dad think? What efforts is she making to find work? Is she helping out around the house? Other than food and putting a roof over her head are you funding her in other ways? Clothes? Socialising? Travel?

Do you need the money and is this a temporary or long term situation?

JSA isn't much, if you let her save it you'd be really helping her get back on her feet faster. It could be a decent chunk of the deposit and first month's rent on a new place when she does move on. If she's coming home because she's hit hard times and needs your help just for a little while, I wouldn't take any.

depending on her age she will get either £56 a week or if over 25 £71 a week.

She should pay you something, I'd say around a third is fair, but it depends what other commitments she has (travel, car insurance, mobile etc) if she has a lot of other essential costs £10 a week towards food would be ok :)

Where else could she live for that price!
