Oh my word at your anticipation!!
The date is tonight...0 -
OP, I couldnt believe you were asking it either to be fair. To be honest, its totally your call. Some people might think its too soon, some people think not. But its your life and its up to you what you do.
I know. I am 44 for goodness sake. However the rules have changed since I was last single (over 20 years ago) and this is all new territory for me0 -
The rules:
- do only what you want to do, with whomsoever you choose
- be as safe as possible while still having fun
- don't listen to what anyone else thinks
Now, you didn't need a young 'un to tell you that, did you :-)0 -
For me, I probably couldn't sleep with someone so early on. But that's just me and what I'm comfortable with. I take sex pretty seriously and see it as an expression of love.
This sums up how I am too. Being a cautious person by nature it takes me a little while to develop feelings for someone and feel ready to take that next step. I think it is nice to enjoy getting to know a person and the romance of the initial weeks together. A gradual build up to being intimate can be exciting.
I respect though that we all have different approaches and each to their own. Maureen I hope you enjoy your date tonightThe best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0
