That'all the info on the baseEven if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0

That looks like a WPS PIN which is different to the wireless key. You can find the wireless security info by logging into the router.
Try logging into the router in a different window on your browser by typing in 192.168.2.1 into the address bar.
It may ask for an admin password or may not. If it does try username "admin" and try leaving password as blank.
Once logged on there should be a security tab/menu option. Click that and it will tell you your encryption level and the wireless key as programmed into the router.
I would remove the link though as not sure if the info could help unscrupulous types.0 -
It says TKIP+AES and the network key is my password, a mixture of letters and digits.Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0

Does it say WPA, WPA2, or WEP on the screen?
Whichever it is, enter the mix of letters and digits it gives you into the box that comes up when you try to connect wirelessly.0 -
It says WPA-PSK + WPA2-PSK. I have tried entering the mix but I get a message saying it should be 8 digits, which is what is on the base of the router, but is not my actual password.Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0

When you go into network and sharing centre, you said you selected "set up a new connection or network". Is there a choice for "Connect to a network - connect or reconnect to a wireless network". I think the one you tried is trying to set up a NEW network, whereas a network already exists as your router and laptops are already set up. You only want to connect to it. Try the other choice, selecting your router network name from the choices and using the key that you got from the router setup screen.0

When I do that, I get a pop up saying "Currently connected to Network 2 Internet accessEven if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0

Unplug your cable from your computer to your router and try it again.
If that doesn't work, reconnect via the cable. In the network and sharing centre next to "view your active networks" there is a connect or disconnect link. Click that. Whats does it say in there?0 -
Or you can try connecting via WPS. Does the router have a WPS button on it?0
