I wonder if Martin would set up a sub-board for like minded House Price Crash enthusiasts to swap statistics.

I think there is enough interest for it to take off. I would volunteer to be a board guide, I wouldn't actually visit the board because it would be an endless loop of exactly the same drivel.

In order to access the board, all members would have to put the date of the HPC for all to see, when this date passed with ever increasing price rises, that member would have their posting priviliges removed and sign a pledge to never visit these boards again.

    I think it would work?

today's market is today's market, and markets in the past were HISTORY.

Things are completely different in today's world, so you can analyse past statistics all you like, and make whatever predictions you like based on info from the PAST, but in today's world you're never going to know what's gonna happen, and it can't be predicted, so why waste all this time and energy trying to predict it?!?!

Just enjoy your property, go have a beer and chill!

No one knows what the market is going to do. No one can know, and no one will know, so you can make predictions until you're blue in the face, but it's nothing but speculation and guessing games in reality, so a waste of time.

So how can you say that Interest rates won't rise? (If no-one knows nothing)

Not a bad idea, move the property prices part of this board so that "normal" people don't have to look at it.

I sympathise. I wish I could have done the same for the last few years when all the VI media spin has been about the "booming" housing market. Couldn't even open a paper without an endless loop of exactly the same drivel.

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • they don't want to rent them round here, they get bought and end up empty. ftb houses are approx £20k too much and ea's wonder why no-one is buying

They should *drop the price to a level were they sell- thus increasing their profits through having more than 3 houses on their books a year sell- greater profit from greater turnover.

*Oh i forgot, they wont to have their cake AND eat it, silly me!

I did not say to move the 'Property price' section, just to add a sub board for like minded folk to congregate and analyze [STRIKE]tea leaves[/STRIKE] data.
My glass is half full, and look at it as an addition to these boards.

I don't see lots of media regarding the "crashing" housing market, but if either Melissa Porter , Sarah Beeny or Amanda Lamb (in preferred order), presented a programe about it, it would be no bad thing.

High house prices are nothing but a desease on society. A cure is needed I just have no faith in the Boe to tackle inflation and I mean REAL inflation the one we all feel every day. There are to many fingers in the property pie. Fingers that need chopping off in my opinion.
