as long as you have it set up to go into your account it will definatley get there.
as i said though, send it special or recorded delivery!
Well this is what I don't know lol and why I didn't want to use PayPal. I used my account details though, so it can't go any where else.
Well I'll send the item off, if the money never appears, it'll be a lesson learnt!0 -
if you put your bank details correctly you will get the money, and if there was a mistake made it will go back to your paypal account0

From that feedback, I'd actually be more inclined to risk a NPS hit, refund her the money and not send.. unless it's £20 or so. If it's in the hundreds, I wouldn't risk it.
All JMHO, of course.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
Out of interest... did you have to upgrade to a premier account? IE. were you charged fees to receive the payment?
If not... then I think that means she paid with cleared funds, which is good for your security. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -

I wasn't charged anything to recieve her payment (I think). To recieve the payment, all I did was give her my email address.
It was only after I recieved the payment, I needed to put in my account details, to transfer it to my bank.Emmzi wrote:From that feedback, I'd actually be more inclined to risk a NPS hit, refund her the money and not send.. unless it's £20 or so. If it's in the hundreds, I wouldn't risk it.

Now, you have got me worried. Surely she cannot take the payment back? It's £70 that she paid, so not a huge amount, but no small enough to not worry about.0 -
If you took money out on weekend, chances are it wont get to your bank till friday or monday.
As it was £70 i would send special delivery as recorded will only cover you for £34.
Also because of the way she is trying to hurry you, take a note of the IMEI number inside the phone (15 digit serial number, usualy behind battery). Just in case the buyer says she got phone but it doesnt work and wants a refund. Some scammer buy a phone and replace the insides.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -

 Just one thing I have noticed on her ebay feedback, she bought a E900 DUMMY phone on the same day as buying mine.
I'm kind of wishing she just didn't buy it now lol.0 -

Welcome to the wonderful world of paypal.
- If the phone wasn't sent via trackable means, she could pretend it hadn't arrived, open a dispute, and paypal would take th money back.
- She could tell her credit card people that her payment was made fraudulently (assuming she didn't pay with cleared funds) and they would take the money back (to prevent this happening, you have to make sure the address is confirmed, make sure you have seller protection + send via trackable means)
So yes, paypal do have a number of ways of taking the money back - the main thing is to make sure you're covered every step of the way for amounts you can't afford to lose.My TV is broken!

Right. I have read all of the above.
She paid the money into my PayPal account, and it showed up in there.
Her address on her PayPal account has a green "confirmed" by it.
Her PayPal address and ebay address match up.
I transfered the money straight into my bank account (pending).
I have taken pics of the phone now showing condition and the imei.
I will send the phone special delivery (if it's not too expensive, if so recorded).
I think this is all I can do apart from wait until the money is safe and cleared in my account, but she may well (and probably is) genuine, so it's not fair to keep her waiting.
Edit: I have nothing in my PayPal accout, so she cannot get back any money, unless I give it to her presumably?0
