Can I send the item out yet?

I put a phone up on ebay Saturday evening with a Buy It Now price.

An hour later I had a question asking whether I accepted PayPal, which I replied that I didn't. (I had an account, but just used it to buy things through)

Anyway, I got another question asking whether I could send the phone first thing Monday. I replied only if I had cash by Monday.

Next thing I knew, the girl had bought my phone, and sent me a message apoligising but she didn't realise I didn't accept PayPal (!!!!!!??) and could I set up an account just for her.

Well, I just put in my account details on my PayPal account, and she sent the money over. I then transfered it into my bank account.
I presume that I have the money now, and it is ok to send the phone out to the girl. I couldn't yesterday as I was out with work.
Is it ok to send the phone today? Will I definately get the money? As I haven't used PayPal before. The ebay account and paypal account seem to match up, so I presume it's all ok lol.

But it's not in my bank account?? Where is it lol. It's not in my PayPal account, but not yet in my bank account. If it will DEFINATELY arrive in my bank account no problems, then I'm happy to send the phone, just concerned as to its where abouts. If it's like a cheque, then I wouldn't send it until the money had cleared into my account, how is this different?

You transfer the cash from paypal to your bank. Depending on the amount there may be a charge.

However there are sometimes problems with paypal after the event. I'd ask yourself

- is her addresses confirmed/ verified
- is her feedback sound and sizeable
- are you being asked to send to nigeria or italy?

Problems? Should I wait then? I transfered the money from my PayPal account to my Bank account on Saturday.

Her address says confirmed on her PayPal details
Her feedback is 87% (1 bad out of 6 or 7)
I am sending it to Bristol

MOST DISHONEST/CHANGE REG. ADDRESS AFTER TOLD OF POSTING/CLAIMS REFUND/BEWARE!!

The others are all the usual "excellent ebayer" and "A+++" etc. This causes my some concern obviously.

All her feedback is from this month, she joined ebay at the end of April.

It takes a few days for money to move between your Paypal account and your bank account. But you have been payed and the buyer should not have to wait for the money to transfer into your bank account.

(even though she shouldnt have used Paypal at all after you explained you didnt accept payment that way!!!! :rolleyes: )

Edit.... with regards to her one negative feedback....make sure you send the phone by a trackable method, so she has to sign for it. That way she cannot claim to have not received it

aren't you supposed to send items to buyers as soon as they pay with paypal?
op make sure you send the phone special or recorded delivery then the buyer can't say she has not received it because she will have to sign for it!

Well, today is the first oppertunity I will have to send it, as yesterday I was in the middle of miles of fields, and I informerd the buyer of this before she purchased it, even though she keeps telling me the phone is urgent and needs it asap.

Well if the money will definately get to my account in the next few days (I think PayPal allow 5-7??) then I will send it recorded today.

as long as you have it set up to go into your account it will definatley get there.
as i said though, send it special or recorded delivery!
