Do Asda still give a voucher when you get overcharged? Mine said they've stopped doing it. I tried to find something on their website, but can't see it? TIA
Josie, they have not stopped doing it. They are supposed to give you a refund and a 2.00 gift card!
It never ceases to amaze me how some trouts think the measely two quid is coming out of their own pockets.0 -

My wife is semi disabled awaiting a hip replacement, I can't get a decent job due to tia's and my dw can't either so we're both on benefits.
Housing have decided we have to pay for the extra room in our home cos it's not needed, although we have our grandkids stay regularly.
See that's the thing. The government should help people who have paid their way and are now struggling. Unfortunately, they don't and that's what gets on my tits (not that I have any).0 -

Those were the days when impoverished children had their fees paid and a nice grant to see us through college. The government's investment in us was well and truly(Trulymadly;)) paid back in the form of top rate tax.....and so it should be. I wonder if children living in those circumstances nowadays get the same or have they not even this option open to them to get them out of the trap? Discuss as Squills would say!!!
Nowadays all students can get student loans that cover their fees and maintenance. Students from poorer families also get maintenance grants and most universities offer bursaries to these students. My son (in his first year at uni) said that those from the poorest families end up with quite a bit more than those whose parents earn more. Students from middle earners lose out most (as usual), with parents less able to help to the same level that richer parents can do or to match the grants and bursaries and greater loans that the poorest get.
Of course student loans come with a repayment requirement that can be daunting, but really it is more a graduate tax.Thankyou David for your suggestion that really is a lovely Idea of yours.I do have lots of photoghaphs of the Arbour as it made for a nice setting, the one I love most is of my Dh and me in our wedding attire after we renewed our wedding vows when he got diagnosed as terminal so as you see it really is a very special part of my garden:)
It is very easy to find fencing pieces (from wickes/ B&Q etc) that can be used to support the arbour. Is the damage caused by the wind or the "roots" of the arbour rotting in the ground? It should be able to put new supports in the ground and fasten them to the arbour.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Bold indicates a multibuy price. Eggs not being picked up at 97p for M. Soap Pads not picked up vs M* (or W, but N/A vs W is correct). Sardines multibuy at M being compared. The Spring Greens are a very small surprise - I though they might have been more risky! Pleased about the Cheerios.
(I found two different types of the correct Sada Sardines knocking around, both with the same bar code. I bought one of each of them, as that way it was slightly fascinating:D.)
Although this is now late in the day, as there is a new price collection by the APG people tomorrow.
And...change of subject, whatever happened to those Discos? Still in my cupboard and haven't even fetched one pack out yet!! Folks - I best get on, RL is calling for some moments now...!

Anyone watching catch phrase , just reminded me of t's , that catch phrase was trout pout :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I was sitting here reading this thread and watching it, I'm just glad I'm the only one in the room because I was having fits of giggles every time they showed it - I knew exactly what it was :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Most of the "prizes" are complete carp tho! Talc, soap and rubbish, with the odd bottle of wine or chocs. Prize would appear to be at the manager's discretion so they'd just give you one of the rubbish ones, I bet. There's probably some gaming law they're breaking by not clearly stating what the prize is, I would think.
Not sure about the legality as it's not a game of chance. The outcome is predicable.Awaiting a new sig0 -
Evening all, back from Wales, did I miss any big glitches over the weekend.0

Actually that's the number I rang where the woman told me they don't have a customer service department for the stores, (that one is for online only) but she could give me the phone number for the store I went to! All I wanted to know was the policy. Anyway, thanks. I found that strange parallel asda site now and the instore customer services number for anyone who wants it is:
0800 952 0101
Sorry, Mrs B, can't see a mobile friendly one.0
