Most of the "prizes" are complete carp tho! Talc, soap and rubbish, with the odd bottle of wine or chocs. Prize would appear to be at the manager's discretion so they'd just give you one of the rubbish ones, I bet. There's probably some gaming law they're breaking by not clearly stating what the prize is, I would think.

I doubt it's illegal. Gambling laws have been liberalised as well recently. I think they can 'give' away what they want (although to get the 'gift' it seems we have to buy some shopping!). The first part of your post is precisely the point I was getting at in mine. Namely, it's probably not worth it (for all the reasons I gave).

It does seem to me, from here though, that the amount you need to 'save'/overspend perhaps isn't prominently promoted and that you may have to search for it, or ask. Perhaps they haven't 'ramped up' the promotion to its full yet though! They're certainly promoting PP - with its painted logo on the doors and numerous in-store flashes above every aisle, almost to implant it subconciously in your mind as you are shopping and be retained by you (your mind) thereafter. It does tell us something interesting (or not) from that point of view. As I said, it's all psychology and carefully researched adoption of marketing.

[Edit: aren't the purchase requirements on 'lotteries' in N Ireland slightly different though? Not even sure if this is relevant or not.]

Fab, ta - can you give me the link please as I want to be able to show it on my phone and even when I copy and paste your quote it's not coming up for me! TIA

Actually, managed to find a strange sort of Asda website via FB, that I've never seen before and found the answer! I thought there was only Asda.com and just had a row with a woman on that tel. no. who said I would need to go into the store as they didn't have anyone who dealt with instore queries - give me strength!

No-one 'forces' you to listen to anything!:rotfl:
    But..then again:

    (1) In practice, you are (in effect) forced to, if you are a carer.
    (2) We don't know when to stop - due to our inability (similar to blindness/deafness) in seeing body language and also due to your ineffective communication with us as you are transmitting to us in a language ('body language') that we cannot receive*. You need to 'say' something - i.e. spoken words, as body language is not language that 'says' anything to us! (Indeed, I wouldn't have imagined that body language was capable of 'saying' anything at all. Since it never 'said' anything to me. But since becoming aware of my condition I can see now how it could be said to "say" something (i.e. to nearly all people albeit not to myself).)

Okay, this isn't intended to get into a thread of a long series of posts regarding autism.

    * Sorry I'm now forcing people to read the post at least twice. But what follows is relevant to the first part of point 2 (up to the *) and not the rest: "I'm sure you'll understand what I'm getting at here and that it's nothing personal:)."

Thanks Savvy. I totally understand what you're getting at and I don't take it personally at all. When I say ' forced' I don't mean it literally. It's just me making light of my own situation. I find it's often the best way to deal with things and keeps me sane! :)

what's so strange about this womble?

    2 x Diet Coke (2L)£3.96£3.00

    Another flump up for grabs!!!

Has it been a m'buy glitch day today??

Nothing too "strange" there though. It seems quite "usual" (rather than "strange") for the m'buys to go awol nowadays, which is quite good news for us:D.

Okay.. I'm doing a lot of quotes and technical definitions. Maybe I ought to get out more...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::D
