That's what I got yesterday when the orange was not showing in the offer. Only got 1 of each so might try again today. I am breaking myself in gently back to the world of APG. :o

Right quick shower and whoopsie time. Catch you all laters. Hope Dotty will be up tonight. :)

1 orange and 1 cherry worked for me yesterday. Today my closest sada didn't have any lucozade sport at all that I could find. I should have gone to the next bigger one but visitors on their way.

I guess I will need to try cherry then.

I can only sympathise with people who are being discriminated against for living in council housing. I can imagine how worrying and threatening to people it must be when they have lived in place for years or even months and suddenly put in a situation that would make them vulnerable and even lead to them loosing their homes. They may have established supports systems and feel safe I their environment. Such a new ruling is the most hideous thing I have ever heard, even worse than the pole tax. It has not been made conjured up by a normal everyday person but someone with no idea as to how people live. Maybe some have got extra room, maybe they were given some when applying for their housing. Maybe some want to move. Bullying people is not the answer. Thatcher sold the council stock off. Problem is not many more houses were built their after. Surely the census would give demographic information to what we are likely to need in the future. The vulnerable, elderly and challenged now have to suffer in our increasingly heartless society. Sickening.

The same store also had easter eggs in, so I excitedly scanned them, but they were still £10

Were they Liz Shaw? There's loads of Liz Shaw eggs on the clearance aisle in my local with £10 SEL that I haven't yet inspected...

Oh yes I agree that those with empty rooms should consider moving to allow those without enough rooms to live better for some people it isn't really an option. Some people are unwell and moving would be too difficult and even detrimental to their health, it's difficult to find a 'one fits all' solution unfortunately :( I also noted at the bottom it quotes The Samaritans as saying that suicide usually stems from more than one problem, this lady was already struggling with her health so the headline is a bit mis-leading in that sense. It's just so awful that in today's society people feel that suicide is the only way :(

It is difficult my MIL has lived in her council house for around 25 years, my fil died there last year. The last 2 grown up children have just left home. She is willing to move to a smaller flat/bungalow but doesn't want to go just anywhere and has health issues - partially blind and arhritis - so needs to be somewhere close to family /shops and preferably in an area she knows. They no longer have a council waiting list based on your needs they have a ridiculous bidding system. So while she is bidding on flats every week and not getting them she is going to be expected to pay for the extra bedrooms even though she wants to move.

Talking of council houses, my OH's aunt was born in hers and is well into her seventies.
It was never purchased or modernised by the council and is the most lovely house in a semi rural location with 200ft garden.
She has no children so she lives alone and it will return to the authority (as it should) when she goes.
We are a llittle sad as it has been a family home for the family for five generations but someone will get a super deal.

Flo has your MIL applied for Discretionary Housing Payments (DHP)? Not guaranteed, and short-term, but worth applying for. Quote from Shelter website:

"Each housing/council tax benefit department is given a pot of money each year to help people who qualify for housing or council tax benefit, but are having trouble paying their rent or council tax. The council decides who should be given the payments. When the money for the year runs out, no more payments can be made.
Discretionary housing payments (DHP) may be paid weekly, or can be a lump sum. They can also be backdated."

    Hope this helps someone.

Right all done, managed a £20 shop,at tosco thanks to some reduced meat in the sale fridge and they had also managed to restock the 27p baby bath - OH made a comment about this - as if I am ever going to stop stock piling, bargain hunting and using MOCs etc. :)
I got some pasta, clover and kenko with Mocs and I used my conditional, spend and a till spit £2 wys £8 on meat. So I've got meat for about 7 meals and in real money I've only spent £12 so quite happy with this.
In Asda I went right through all of the freezers for 50p items. Didn't see anything I fancied but as I was going to the till I found a pack of 4 Dalepak cheese and onion crisp bakes - v pleased with this, I don't eat much meat so I eat these or similar a lot.
loads of recs collected - check these in a minite.
